    We rented 5 Avocet on Kiawah Island May 3-9th for our daughter's wedding spending over $7k for the house. The house is not as advertised on the website, and more troubling, Kiawah Exclusives purposefully does not appear to publish negative reviews (and I was surveyed following our stay). I had a few conversations with the manager, Karen McFadden, by phone and email and she stopped communication with me at the end of May. I wanted to post some issues with the house given the expense - some issues were lack of cleanliness and maintenance, a broken TV in the main living/kitchen area that should be replaced (and when I called they acknowledged that it did not work/was "old and outdated."). The property needs a refresh and the fact there have been no posted reviews for nearly all of 2023 reflects that they are not being an ethical company. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

    Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate the issues you brought to our attention after you departed. Each item has been addressed including repairing the TV connection for the TV in the kitchen area off the main living room.
