Contracted with express Sunrooms to construct a screened in porch over and existing deck. The project was to consist of a roof, the extension of the room 2’ out and raise the floor approximately 2”up to be level with the threshold of the entrance door into the home so that my son who has been disabled from birth and is dependent on a wheelchair for his mobility, could easily transfer from porch onto the house and vice versa. This was visually pointed out to sales associate and verified via contract that was signed. This company ignored this most important issue and did not raise the floor of the deck. They failed to communicate this most important request to the installer. The charges thus far that I have paid this company are $750 for the permits and just mailed $5000.00 for completing the deck The project not done no roof and of course not completed. I spoke with the sales person and the discussion became very heated due to the sales person stating that he had not knowledge of this! Basically it’s in the contract! He in-effect has overcharged me for a raised deck floor 14’x16’ his offer of $100.00 off the contracted price $25,000.00. And was still trying to communicate to me tough luck we have a contract. That is highway robbery! He charged me for a raised deck and failed to deliver. I feel like my son’s disability was entirely dismissed and disregarded. He is 43 years old and has cerebral palsy from birth and has been confined to a wheelchair since birth he is non verbal. So this is very important to me as his mother that he have the best life that I can provide him. This company seems very unconcerned about this only about extracting as much money as they can form me, the customer.
