At the first online meeting, **** told my daughter they would have a follow up appointment sometime Next Week and **** signed off without speaking to me about a follow up appointment or a plan of care for my daughter. I assumed that **** would contact me with the details but I did not receive word from her and was busy, so I had not contacted her.On Tuesday June 27th **** messaged me and said Did I get my wires crossed about this week? I told her that I believed she had because we didnt have an appointment scheduled. On June 28th **** charged my credit card on file for $150. I immediately asked her about the charge (thinking that might be our co-pay, or a mistake). **** ignored my messages for 3 weeks. On July 17th she finally told me that she had charged me a no-show fee and I contested that. She got nasty with me and said I did have an appointment, and I reminded her that I did not and she had even messaged me about being confused. She also inferred that we now had standing appointments on Tuesdays (a day we are not available) and refused to change the days. I told her we couldnt attend on those days and that we could not take $150 financial hits because of her lack of communication in scheduling. She lied and said she had sent me an email reminder (the only I received was on that day, July 17th).She also cancelled the appointment we had scheduled on that same day out of spite, refused to return the money and taunted me, saying that I had a mental illness. As a therapist, to make fun of mental illness is disgusting. I was only polite to ****, but challenged the charge and her professionalism when she dropped my child out of spite. She also blocked my messages so that I could not correspond with her further for a refund. I believe that **** used predatory practices to exploit us financially in a time of need for our child and that she calculated to steal from us as she immediately took a birthday trip and boasted about it on her ******** profile.
