The company installed supports in the crawl space to fix a sagging floor running down the middle of the house. All dry of the carolinas submitted two quotes for approximatley $18,000 and $30,000 (attached). Both proposals say to "permanently stabilize floors". I went with the cheaper option. A year later the area they fixed now a bump that continues to get worse. I contacted the business to tell them the problem is not fixed and they advised the issue causing the area to now bump is a different area needing supports and is not covered under the warranty. They are saying the full job, that they proposed in the other propasal is now needed, and since they offered this solution at the begining and I did not choose it they will not complete the job. I am frustrated because they did not say the solutin they were installing would not fix the issue, and also as stated the proposal said this $18,000 solution would "permanantley stabilize the floors". I understand they knew what was needed to fix the problem and offered that solution and I declined it, but there should have been communication that the entire job was necessary to fix the problem, and the $18,000 proposal I was given and agreed to said the floors would be permanently stabilized, which was not true. This issue was being paid for by the seller of the home, which obviously is long gone. The proposal was not true and if I had known what All Dry knew at the time, that the whole job would be needed, that would have been negotiated and paid by the seller.

      Business Response

      Date: 12/13/2023

All-Dry of the Carolinas provided two proposals as attached by the homeowner - one to stabilize the center of the home with *********s and one to stabilize the whole house (also with *********s). Initial communication was between our design specialist and a realtor. The cheaper proposal was chosen to stabilize the center of the home. Our proposal warranty on page 6 states that "the *********s will stabilize the affected area(s) against further settlement..." *********s installed in only one affected area will not stabilize other affected areas that are not in close proximity.

On Friday, October 13, 2023, one of our installation crews visited the property and made adjustments to the existing ********* system. The crew foreman reported that they were able to improve some of the settlement issues along the center of the home with the existing *********s. However, settlement in other areas was not improved with the existing system. The approximately $30,000 proposal would improve those other areas.

All-Dry of the Carolinas can not warrant settlement problems in other areas of the home where our ********* system is not in place.
