I submitted a requested a quote on ******* **** for a 12 x 16 building to be built, Robert from Tide Remodeling… quoted me 10,000. To build it. I gave him a 4,500. Deposit on 03/11/2025. The construction was to start on the following Monday. After several delays and excuses I ask for my deposit back via e-mail, on Thursday April 10th I received a call from Robert, he told me that he had defaulted on a business lone and that a freeze had been placed on his accounts and that his lawyer was working on freeing up his accounts. I ask that he keep me updated. Later that day I sent him an email offering to work with him, I offered to buy the materials if he would put up the building.
So far I have received no response. I want a refund.

I just received the message this afternoon about the customer willing to purchase the materials.   I was out of town yesterday and had no reception.   I'm good with the customer buying materials and I will get the job done the day materials are on site.  By law I have the right to fix the situation.  Thank you

I am rejecting this response because:

I have been waiting for this job to get done since March 11th. When I spoke with the owner on April 10th he told me that his accounts were frozen and that he had sent his helpers home. At that time I ask him to keep me posted on his legal progress. He has not done that, and I doubt he would have responded to my email had I not gotten in touch with the BBB. I do not have faith in his ability to complete the job. Consequently I want my $4,500. Returned.

    Sincerely,
    Michael *******

I responded as soon as I got the email which just so happened to be the same time I saw the complaint. As per the contract there is no definite start date nor completion date..we are in the construction business and can't control everything. As far as communication I talked to the customer last Friday and he filed a complaint the following Tuesday..got to give people a chance to review messages.   Refund will be given within 30 days

For the sake of accuracy in case of non payment by May 17, 2025.

I received the call from Robert on Thursday April 10, 2025 at 9:25 AM.

The start date was to be March 18, 2025 via verbal agreement due to a time sensitive deadline. I needed that storage space because we are having new flooring put in our upstairs. As it now is our downstairs is packed full of furniture.

I have a recorded record of every communication with Tide Remodeling and it will be turned over to my attorney on May 18th if payment in full is not received.

    Sincerely,

    Michael *******
