My experience with The Improvement Company was incredible. I was dealing with a job half finished when my contractor told me I needed to get someone else to do the siding. I was devestated to say the least. Thankfully the previous contractor told me about The Improvement Company before leaving. I contacted them and talked with Andy. He was at my home the following day discussing my needs and the following day I received my estimate. It was a little more than I could afford but they were willing to work with me to make my need a reality. I met with Dan on Friday to sign the contract and give him the money for materials. I had gone out on Saturday for groceries and when I returned home all the material for the job were there. Dan had told me if they could get the material over the weekend they could probably start putting my siding up on Monday. Sure enough, Dan called me Monday morning to let me know the workers were on the way. I was so excited that my siding was finally going to be installed. The workers arrived and immediately began to work on my siding. I was so surprised when they had completed the job by 5pm that same afternoon. I met with Dan today to give him the remainder of money owed. All I could tell him was how wonderful it was to finally have this job done and how very nice it looked. I told him there were no words to express how very much this meant to me. As we said our goodbye we ask each other for prayers for certain things, smiled and waved to each other and he was on his way. Dan is a wonderful man and I have to give God the credit for sending him my way. I have been trying to get my siding completed for over 5 year so I am thankful to my Lord and give him all the Praise, Honor, and Glory for a job well done. Thank you Dan and crew. Sincerely, Judith

Hired to build a deck and convert a screen porch into a sunroom. Contract signed May 2023. We were told they would start July 26, with overall duration of 4 - 6 weeks. Construction started in Aug. finished in Dec., 15 weeks. Recommendation: DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR! No schedule, procurement plan, no supervision of subcontractors, no quality control, no communication (unless they need a check) - they don't care!
Here is a partial list of issues.
    1. Did not call 811, burst the water well and sprinkler lines in our yard digging the footings.
2.Failed to dig enough footings, did not pass the first Lex. Co. Building Inspections.
3.Window and door layout measured wrong in the sunroom. Had to change design.
4.Framed the sunroom with some of the used/demolished wood from our screen porch.
5.Framing of the sunroom is off, noticeable on finished sheet rock.
6.Framed the deck from the top down, with no footings in place. Footings were not poured when the framers framed the deck and what followed was substandard construction. We were out of town.
7.Framers did not follow the approved Building Permit Plans. Framers did not install seven (7) major 2” x 10” framing boards. Hangers had to be ripped out and frame boards added.
8.Deck frame not sitting on support post. 8”x 8” posts. On the design drawings these should have been continuous post.
10.Incorrect measurement on the staircase width and did not follow stringer spacing per the drawings. They had to re-work three times.
11.Failed to add concrete to footing per approved permit drawings. Covered up and hid from building inspector. Post buried in dirt.
    12. Widows ordered were not tempered glass and did not meet code. Safety film added after this was pointed out.
    13. Triangular windows supplied are not windows. Two pieces of glass in a homemade frame that fog up with condensate. Paint peeled off wall during heavy rainstorm, window is leaking.
