    I hired Kevin Hardy as my attorney to file for guardianship and conservatorship of my mother on July 31, 2024. He required a $,5000 retainer fee up front, which I paid. We both signed a contract where he agreed to file the necessary paperwork, and to maintain contact with me about the process. As I was filing under emergency circumstances, we discussed that the filing should only take a couple of weeks.

    I provided Kevin with all of the necessary documents, as advised by him, on Friday August 9th, 2024. A few days later, I received an email from Kevin confirming that he had received my documents and that he would file them with the courts on August 14th, 2024.

    I subsequently contacted the probate court to confirm their receipt of the filing, but was told the case had not been filed. I contacted Kevin who told me he had filed it and that he would follow up with me on the matter in a few days. This was in mid September. I have not heard from, nor been able to get a hold of Kevin since.

    As of today, November 11, 2024 the documents have never been filed, as confirmed by the probate court.

    Since September, I have contacted Kevin by phone approximately 15 times. All my calls go to voicemail and his voicemail is almost always full. I have also emailed Kevin multiple times, including requesting a case number or other proof that he has filed the paper work, and most recently to ask for a refund, but all my emails also go unanswered.

    As an aside, there are several reviews on google where others have described the same behavior: https*************.

    I am now out $5,000 and have not received the agreed upon services.

    Kevin did prepare 1 document for me several months ago (tangential to the guardianship/conservatorship case) which I am happy to pay him for. However, that cost should be a a very small fraction of the $5,000 paid, as it only took about 1 hour.
