Their manager was very deceptive in dealing with my paperwork pertaining to my property. Over the phone she told me the trailer would fit on my lot. But after dealing with Home Max a two months later she tells her coworker the lot is to small. Which is a lie, Their calls are not returned and it's just lie after lie. It's very frustrating. I should have known this was going to happen, because my family member experienced the same bad treatment. Home Max deserves a negative star if was possible.

First, I want to acknowledge the seriousness of the concern regarding potential deception. I can assure you that such an approach is not in line with my values, nor is it reflective of how I manage my team or handle my responsibilities. My aim has always been to act with transparency and integrity.

To offer clarity, here’s my perspective on the matter in question:

********* ******* applied for a loan with **** ******** on August 28th, 2024, and was denied. However, the lender offered conditional terms that they would consider which was 20% down payment and a $95k loan amount. I personally called ********* to explain how we could possibly move forward, and said I would send some floor plans in her budget. For due diligence purposes, I pulled up her land and current home she wanted to trade and found some potential problems with the lot size. ****** county guidelines have set back requirements and after speaking with ****** at ****** County Planning Department, she confirmed the lot was too narrow to accommodate the home ********* wanted to purchase. I sent a floorplan on September 4th via Podium, our communications software for Homemax. I spoke with ********* again on the phone, and she said she needed her payment under $500. After many conversations, I evaluated whether this loan was feasible for Homemax, taking into consideration her trade-in value, cash down payment, lot size, and payment expectations. I received a call from ****** *******, whose email is listed in the complaint, not *********’s email address. I sent ****** exactly what I needed from ********* to move forward with the loan. The main problem I found was that ********* would call our text software line, not our landline. There were many times I called and there was no
answer, and ********* did not send her loan conditions to Homemax or the lender.

I believe there may have been a misunderstanding or miscommunication that contributed to this perception. I welcome any opportunity to discuss this further and address any concerns directly. My commitment to maintaining trust with both the team and our leadership is a priority, and I would never intentionally engage in any deceptive practices.

Please let me know if you would like to meet to discuss this further, as I’m more than willing to clarify any additional points and resolve this matter.

      Sincerely,

      Vanessa G******-General Manager

I paid a deposit on July 18th and started working with Marissa and Keith. After several weeks of misinformation and the inability to contact Keith (their land guy) in a timely manner cost me the property I really wanted. I asked for a refund of that deposit on August 11th. They told me it would take up to a week to process my refund because their accountant only works one day per week. I was never given any details of their refund policy nor is it posted anywhere conspicuously…they were able to take my deposit instantly but refused to refund me in a timely manner. After speaking with the owner he assured me that the refund would be processed on August 16th, they initiated a refund authorization on the 17th and then cancelled it. It’s now been 10 days since my initial refund request and they have decided to cancel the refund and steal $500 from my family. Do not trust them with your money, they are not good Christian’s, they are dishonest crooks.
