Floortech of ** is a company people should be aware and beware of when hiring flooring contractors. The owner, **** ********* sold me a floor for a home in N ************. The floor installation standards and methodology of install violate industry standard, SC state worksmanship provisions, and are obviously poorly done. The tile floor has excessive lippage, movement in the tile resulting in cracking of the grout joints, a floor with a ramp for a level, with no part of the floor within tolerance of ANSI or **** standards. The upstairs laminate floor installation is ramped with parts of the floor floating with no support. I have made these issues known to the company and its owner, with no response. This work does not meet local or national standard, and must be redone or refunded. This is a smoke and mirrors operation where the owner sells in-house craftsman, family owned business, in business 40+ years. He talks about the company having been around in **, yet he subs out his work here to local tradesmen, with 0 supervision from the company.

Floortech installed our ceramic tiles and did not stand behind their product or installation. When the tiles developed cracks floortech was asked to pay for the repairs totalling $2100.00. Floortech declined. Floortech accepts no responsibility for not offering any safeguard prior to installation and we are seeking a refund for the tiles and installation as well as a refund for repairs.
