    I was given an estimate/ invoice on September 18*****. ****************** and I both agreed on the price and the project started on September 20***** and was suppose to finish on October 20, 2023.On or about September 26 ***** I had texted the defendant giving him an option on refunding me my money or finishing the project by October 20***** due to the missing railings and exposed paint being a safety hazard for my children and Grandchildren. Throughout the month of the project the plaintiff has worked for approximately 42 hours in total. He would not show up on days he said he would appear or came drunk for a couple of hours when he did appear. On or about October 16*****, Defendant appeared at my house drunk and demanding more money. I explained to the defendant, that is not on the estimate/ Invoice that has given me on September 18*****. He stated that he is a businessman and has bills to pay so he didnt have any more money for materials. He proceeded to say that I need to buy the materials and I owe him another $300.00. He finished by saying I either give him the money and get the materials or he will not finish the job. On or about October 16, 2023. I sent ****************** a text message for the second time asking for a refund and a receipt for everything I have given him and a receipt of the materials he had allegedly bought. I told him I would pay him for the materials along with the time he has spent on the project. ****************** never responded and continues to ignore me and refuse to refund me my money or finish the project like agreed upon.
