On Thursday, September 12th, I signed a contract to have Forever Flooring and Tile in ***** install new floors in my home. They asked for, and I paid via credit card, a 50% deposit for the job, $2,700.00. Today, Tuesday, I received a call from the salesperson, *******, saying he made a mistake and that I needed to pay him an additional $2,600.00!I told him we had signed a contract and I expected him to honor it.He passed me off to a female manager who reiterated that I owed the $2,600.00 more. I attemped to cancel the order and asked that shs return my deposit to my credit card. She said that she could nof do that. I tried working with them and offered to split the new amount and she accepted but now demanded payment in full before she would install the job. I asked her why she added this demand when I was even trying to work with them and she replied that she needed to pay her installers.I said that she didn't need full payment in advance before and paying he installers or staff is her business obligation, not mine. I am afraid that they are having some sort of financial problems and that's why they're fighting putting my deposit back on mg credit card. I am concerned about accepting a check from them. I just want my money back since they're refusing to honor the contract and called them this evening, leaving them a mesaage to reiterate that. Before I signed the contract, I told ******* that I wanted a great job with no drama. He assured me he had decades of experience in the flooring business and he'd be there every step of the way to take care of my job.

I apologize for not responding sooner. Mr. ****** was trying to retract his complaint to the BBB due to confusion and misunderstanding by both parties. He asked I respond to you and let you know he requests to retract his complaint at this time. Please let me know if you need anything else from me.

    Thank you!
