I requested a meeting for my concerns about the dance company. At the meeting I was ambushed and belittled because they felt I was questioning their teaching ability and send to many emails. I have now found out that I was recorded without my knowledge during this meeting. I was held from going to dress rehearsal because of this. I abided by all their rules and stayed away from dress rehearsal. Did not email them anymore and made sure to stay off the stage during these last two competitions. Now we have officially been kicked out of the studio, which is a breach of contract because we have done nothing wrong. They claim I breached contract which is false accusations, and they have no proof. One of the ways they claim I breach contract was by contacting star talent product to ask if their was a livestream which is not in our contract that we cannot contact them. The other is claiming that I’ve spoken poorly about other students which we had problems with another family and that was one of my bullet points at the meeting and she asked me to email her so she can go over it. I have emailed them requesting my money back for 11 costumes and all choreography fees but they refuse. This has destroyed my girls going from dancing everyday to nothing abruptly. It was done midyear on purpose, so we could not possibly compete with another dance studio studio at this time. We can not do anything with all the choreography and costumes. This would be the first recital we will not have since my 21-year-old was three. They have done this to numerous people, but they are too scared to come forward for some reason. I’m assuming this is a waste of time but I feel I need to try to get some of this money back so I can use it for a new dance studio. Some of this might not make any sense. I’m sorry I’m just distraught over this whole thing because I really thought the owner was my friend. Thank you.

      Hello,

I appreciate the BBB trying to mediate this issue between Let's Dance and ****** *******.

******* complaint is a bit jumbled so I will do my best to address each point. We had a meeting of her concerns on Tuesday, January 2 at 11:51 pm. ****** and another dance mother ****** ******** (her close friend) met with me at the Mauldin location of Let's Dance. ****** typed up her list of concerns which she emailed to me after we discussed everything at the meeting. I spoke with my teachers and shared their concerns that involved the teachers.

**** ***** and Katie J*******, dance instructors at my studio were very concerned about some of her bullet points from her meeting with me and an email they had received the day before from ****** accusing them of being harsh and yelling at ********, ******* younger daughter. I reviewed the footage since both of my studios locations have cameras in them. There was no yelling or any inappropriate handling of her classes. I even offered to let ****** watch the footage and she declined.

It is vitally important to have cameras to see footage if a student gets injured or some ones property goes missing and even to clarify situations that can arise between students and/or parents. ****** is aware of the cameras. So to say she was unaware she was being rec****d is false. I've included 1 correspondences where she asks me to check the cameras and in the other points out her daughter is nervous to speak with their being cameras. I find that very odd.

In this second meeting on Friday, January 19 at my Mauldin location ****** and Amanda attended. We asked Amanda to attend as a witness as well as she has a calming reasonable effect on Pamela. No one belittled or ambushed her in this meeting. I can provide this recording if you need it.

****** was asked to leave the studio because she broke our company contract twice. First she Spoke poorly of another student and parent. Secondly she contacted a dance competition directly. Both are listed in the contract. By breaking the contract ****** has forfeiting the costumes and Choreo fees. Her children have worn them and performed the dances. I did offer to purchase a few back from her but she did not respond. I told her I would remove ********s recital costume fee since she has not received it yet. I told her she could bring back ******** recital costume if it was in the original bag and unaltered.

I will attach the contract as well as other items as proof.

      Thank you Amy F****
