    In May 2022, I entered in an agreement with Ernest Maurice G**** to complete a home remodeling project (see G**** Contract 2022). In September 2022, after several attempts to reach an agreement on when and how to finish the project, Mr. G**** walked away from the project, expressing no interest in finishing the work (see ****** Unfinished Pair with Pics).

    The contract price was $67,500. A total of $57,861.51 was paid to Mr. G****. At times, to keep the project moving, I paid for supplies that I thought were covered by the contract agreement.

    Mr. G**** appeared to start the work in good faith, working with several subcontractors to begin different parts of the project simultaneously. Over time, instead of using the agreed upon subcontractors Mr. G**** began to do more of the project work himself, performing the work at a lower quality. In late August/early September 2022, I pressed Mr. G**** for specific timing to complete all of the project work. Mr. G**** initially participated in discussions to establish timelines for the project completion, continued to ask for the final payment, did not attend scheduled meetings, and then ceased communication about the project.

    In summary, Mr. G**** started the project work but did not complete any of the rooms, leaving the house barely habitable and in a worse state of repair compared to project initiation and also left contractor debris throughout the house. I am requesting a full refund but willing to accept a partial refund.
