I agreed upon a cosignment agreement to sell a glass top coffee table at this business back in June 2024. I discovered in August 2024 the business disappeared along with all the consignemnt items in the store. The person I met and presented himself as the owner was Devan Clark. I have since tried reaching the business via phone, email and website (consignement site) all to no avail. Clearly this is a breach of agreement since my consignement inventory has vanished along with the apparent owner. My property was valued at $350.00.

We have received no information or response from tthis business.  I feel at this point we should file a police report as this is clearly theft of our property.  Any advice?

I consigned two items at the Low Country Resale Consignment Store on 06/10/2024. One item was a framed picture of flowers and the other item was a metal soap dish designed as a faucet and sink. I checked my account periodically to see if the items had been sold. My pickup date was 09/10/24 if items had not been sold. I drove to the Consignment store on approximately September 8th or 9th after checking the store's website which stated that it was permanently closed. I saw that the store had been emptied out and it was now vacant. There was a paper taped to the front door listing two phone numbers to call for information. I tried calling each phone number but was unsuccessful. I couldn't even leave a message as the mailboxes on the phone were full or the call could not be made. As I sat in front of the store, I called the BBB to report this issue. I also called the listing rental agent whose sign is on the building. He told me that the owner of the Low Country resale was kicked out of the building for not paying rent, he told me that Devin Clark the owner (possible cell for him 571-437-1663, given to me by the listing agent) and his friend had been arrested for drugs and he also told me that Devin had taken all the items that were in the store to a storage locker somewhere in Mt. Pleasant , SC and would run the business from that unknown location. I would like to get my items back if possible. I'm sad for the other consignors who had furniture and other more expensive items because we are all cheated out of our belongings.

Low Country resale entered into a consignment agreement in January after the sale of my home to sell the contents. 90 day waiting period to receive payout of sold items completed and check request submitted...no response to multiple emails and messages. Found out store was sold and have had contact with current and prior owns both claiming the other owes me. There is a list of people approx 15 that are owed money and stuck in the middle of two parties and unable to collect funds owed to us.

Lowcountry resale is a furniture consignment shop. I have taken things there in the past and never had an issue. They are under new ownership and I am owed $220.61 for items of mine that were sold. According to their policy, you must email a check request and checks are cut in the 15th of the following month. My request was sent via email on April 5, 2024. When it was nearing the end of May and I hadn’t received a check I reached out via email as well as calling the store to never receive an email back or a phone call. I sent several more emails and finally, when I was angry, he told me to come to the store and he would give me cash. I went to the store last Friday, June 7th. The guy working had no idea what I was talking about and said there was no money for me. I asked him to call Devan, the one who responded to my email and said he would pay me cash but he did not reach him. He promised to leave him a detailed message and that he would call me back. I also sent Devan an email as I was leaving the store. I have not received a call or an email back. I want the money I am owed and to warn others about their business practices. There was another woman in the store on Friday that was also there to collect money she was owed and was having the same issues that I am.
