    Thomas has helped me on various projects around the Charleston area. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful when it came down to making decisions, dealing with changes etc. couldn't recommend him enough! Will continue to use him for my personal and professional needs.

    We hired Basha Built in mid-2025 to build a composite deck, including gates and fencing. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing.
    The project was abandoned midway with major portions unfinished — including all decking, railings, and gates (only deck framing was in place). After repeated delays and limited progress, Basha Built walked off the job without notice. We later confirmed they had never secured the proper building permit, despite telling us inspections were completed.
    When we asked the crew to work with basic site protections — such as laying down tarps over our brand new white marble pool decking and avoiding damage to freshly installed synthetic turf — they claimed that this constituted a breach of contract and used it as justification to terminate the project. This was unreasonable, especially since they were fully aware of the backyard renovation plans from the beginning and had agreed to them.
    We’ve since had the framing evaluated by other professionals and found serious issues: mismeasured deck treads requiring additional material, missing structural blocking, and faulty stringers that needed replacement. None of the decking materials included in the original quote were ever delivered, yet Basha Built has refused to issue a reasonable refund.
    We believe that they actually abandoned the project due to a gross miscalculation in pricing the job and nothing more. They priced our ********** deck project at $16,185 and the deck finishing materials alone priced by our new contractor were greater than $12,000.
    We’ve made multiple attempts to resolve this fairly and were even willing to meet in the middle, but the company has made it clear they do not intend to make it right.
    In our opinion, this was a costly and frustrating experience. Lesson learned that we should not take a gamble on a company with very little online presence and zero reviews. Proceed with caution if you’re considering Basha Built.
