    I started with Palmetto Exterminators this summer, setting up and revolving account.apparently they did not charge or let me know it didn't go through, so when I got the email I called them and set that up again. On that same call, I had asked them to make sure it would not file a complaint or a collections but it did. now I've got a collections letter. they don't ever answer their phone so it's twice as long to get anything resolved. I think they're taking advantage of senior citizens and I think their behavior needs looked into. they should be responsible for billing people like that and sending out notices because they had not sent me any other notices that I got. unfriendly business Behavior. Their manager was not available

    Good afternoon,

     

     Ms. ********* did start a service with us on May 31st of this year. It was a quarterly service to be done every three months at the $79.00 rate. She paid for that service on the day we performed it We then performed a service on August 26th. We sent four separate emails to *** ********* regarding the balance, over the next three months. She called in on Dec 4th, after her account was put on hold for non-payment to pay it. We do not charge any fees for paying late, so we are not taking advantage of anyone. She asked the administrator if she would be sent a letter and she was told she did not think she would but if she did, just disregard it because it may have crossed in the mail. Ms. ********* did receive a letter, from our internal collections department, that does not report to any credit bureau. She called in upset, and was again informed that she did not have to worry about it, that it had obviously been sent before the payment was received. We suggested she could put a credit card on file to avoid any issues like this but she refused. Her complaint about nobody answering, is she had called during the admins lunch break and never left a message. The office she called only has one admin, so her call was forwarded to another branch. This all stems from Ms. ********* not reading or seeing her emails and then getting upset because we are trying to collect payment for a service rendered. We do understand her frustrations and tried to explain to her that she had no reason to worry but it obviously was not good enough.

    I have payed my annual bill for termite inspection and coverage for 10 years no problem until 2023. After I paid for 2023 they never did the inspection. They always leave a notice on the door handle, which I never got. I waited for my annual report for a couple of months and it did not come, I called about it. She said they were behind and it was going to arrive, just late but I would get it. We were out of state a lot on family issues and serious health issues to deal with during the summer and I didn't call back. I know I called them 3 or 4 times before. Then I got a bill for $235.00 for 2024. I called the last week of April 2024 and talked to a man named **** and explained to him that I did not want to pay for 2024 because I did not think they ever showed up to do the inspection as I never got the report on the inspection as I have every year He searched and found that they had never done the 2023 inspection. He suggested that I pay the current charge and have an inspection right away then have another one toward the end of the year. I said no, I paid for ************************************************************************* one year, that is paying double and only fixes their books not my refund. I want them to do the 2024 inspection for no charge and we will be square. I paid for a service I did not get and that will give me the refund I deserve. He said only **** can do that, he talk to him about this and either one of them will call me. No one ever called. I called many times to different departments to talk to any human, left messages, no ever called. I called the ***************** and got ***** who helped me talk to **** again in ************. He said he will get with **** and have him take care of this but he is not calling me. My coverage is going to expire and they are running out the clock to get rid of me. Please help me.     Our Branch Manager, ********************* has spoken with ****************** and explained that the invoice she received was to continue the *************** Agreement (aka "Termite bond"/coverage) and not for the inspection. This is standard practice across the Pest Control industry. In good faith, we have agreed to extend ************************ coverage for 2024 at no charge as a good will gesture. We believe this satisfies and resolves this complaint.
