    What was to be provided: Install Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring in entire condo at Sands Resorts, Unit ***** XXX XXth *** ****** ****** ****** ** XXXXX

    Job consisted of:
    Removal of carpet in living room and bedrooms and removal of tile in bathrooms, kitchen and entry hall.
    Installation of Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring throughout condo.

    Nature of dispute:

    We would like to be reimbursed for repairs that needed to be made by him after the final payment had been made. He will not respond to us. The total is $450.00

    Final payment was made on October 22nd.
    On October 30th, my husband realized the primary bathroom toilet had not been seated correctly.
    My husband contacted him several times to return to fix the toilet, he would not return calls.
    My husband left him a final message letting him know we would contact our own plumber and send him the bill.

    On November 5th as we were preparing to leave the condo to travel back to our home, my husband noticed water coming thru the brand new flooring in the third bedroom!
    After the onsite building service ruled out any leaks in surrounding condos, they advised us to contact a plumber to locate the leak.
    An emergency call to the plumber was made the night of November 5th, who discovered that the flooring installer had not connected the water line to the ice maker properly and caused the damage.
    He refused to send a repair person, and has subsequently ghosted us.


    The cost of the emergency call for the plumber was $225.
    The cost of the toilet repair was also $225.
    Both invoices were sent to the flooring installer several times with the request to pay. He has refused to answer. Call and text history can be provided if needed.

    We are asking to be reimbursed to these two items that he refused to pay. Total $450.
    Has the business tried to resolve the problem? No, he refuses to respond.
    Invoices for emergency plumbing call and plumber to fix the toilet are included.

    After all jobs were completed checks were done to see all plumbing was ok. Job was completed days before customer called leaving room for other interference.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    It was completely unprofessional and untrue.

    We were LUCKY to find the leak before we left the condo.  We discovered the leak as we were packing up in the room adjacent to the kitchen. If we had not found it, the water would have run down into the condos on the floors beneath it - a much larger problem!

    Because the refrigerator water line was not tightened, the water had leaked for days, running under the new vinyl, underneath the wall, and then under the new vinyl in the adjacent room. 

    As we were packing the water was leaking up thru the new vinyl in the adjacent room!  

    We had no reason to pull out the refrigerator after his install was completed!!!

    After repeatedly leaving messages, we finally got thru to him and then he refused to address the issue, clean up and dry the rooms, etc.

    We ended up doing that ourselves at our own expense.

    One of his very rude comments to my husband, was ' I work hard, you sit at your computer'. (My husband is an IT Professional who works remote). What that comment had to do with his poor response to the problem he caused? - I have no idea.

    I would never recommend his company for work of any kind. Once the final payment is made, he's gone and takes no ownership for the quality of work.

    This is the only customer we have that has asked us about the quality we produce or the services they had received. We are a meticulous working people. They also slandered my name personally on google. 

    I will pay for the refund she request and she removes all negative feedback from all platforms.  

    all other clients we have worked with have never had issues.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me as long as we receive the payment.

    The reviews we posted were not slanderous, they were honest about our experience with this company .

    We did not want other customers to experience the same problems we did.

    We will remove the reviews once the payment has been received. The amount he owes us is $450 for the two plumber visits.
