I have a center console boat with a mercury verado outboard motor, which has an electric shifter. The shifter went bad so I contacted Coastal Marine. They assured me it would be fixed - months later I finally got them to return a call to get an update on the repairs. I was told it would be several more months b/c there was a big back order for the parts. I waited another month and they finally returned my call and I was told they had lost my phone number (the number is a business number - virtually impossible to lose) or they would have called me sooner to let me know the repairs were completed. I picked up the boat - paid a bill of over $2,200.00. When I placed the boat in service I discovered the repairs had not been made at all. I took the boat back to Coastal Marine and explained the did not fix the problem. Now - 2 months later they finally called me back and told me they haven't even looked at the boat yet and wouldn't get to it til this Friday or later. This boat should have been addressed immediately since the repair had been paid for and it was Coastal's fault the boat wasn't operational. I called and asked to speak to the manager in charge or the owner and was told someone would call me back. To-date I have not received a call. I want all my money back since NO REPAIR was ever completed.
