I was planning on attending an event 10/13/23 with a date. I just received a call 10/5/23 that it was rescheduled for 4/5/24. They said I could go in April or get a gift card. NOT ACCEPTABLE when other reservations were ruined. I'm out hundreds now. POOREST of customer service. I'm never going back and recommend to everyone I know to not go there after this.

    Dear Mr. H***,
We appreciate your patience with the recent rescheduling of the event you were planning to attend on October 13, 2023, the Gregorian show, the date change was an unfortunate consequence of an unexpected emergency involving the artist.
As you are aware, our company has a long-standing policy that clearly states that all sales are final and non-refundable. This information is readily available on our website, reiterated during the online checkout process on multiple pages, confirmed verbally when you make your purchase over the phone, provided in your order confirmation email, and printed on each ticket for the show.
In response to this situation, we offered you several options to accommodate you. Including receiving a gift card for the ticket value, exchanging your tickets for another show, keeping the tickets for the new date, or donating your tickets for a tax credit, given our non-profit status. It was noted on your account that you chose the gift card option during your call with us.
We have communicated with you on multiple occasions over the years regarding similar issues, and our policy has remained consistent. These interactions have not been positive, and our staff will not continue to be spoken to in a disrespectful manner.
We understand your disappointment, and we genuinely appreciate your patronage throughout the years. We are providing a full refund for all your current orders. If in the future, you decide to purchase tickets to another show you will have to call in to get in touch with our Executive Director Anne Pickney-Smith.
    Best Wishes,
    Newberry Opera House Team
