    Had a colonoscopy performed on Dec. 1, 2022. The billing was sent to my Medicare account and they were paid the amount that medicare covers. However, after two visits to their billing department with my complaint, I have still not got them to accurately bill my secondary insurance (medigap, AARP Unitedhealthcare), for the remaining balance that Medicare did not pay. Four months have gone by and they still have not forwarded or billed my Medigap insurance correctly. United Healthcare sent me the following statement: "Your provider should send the Medicare statement showing how Medicare considered this charge, your plan pays benefits based on Medicare's determination".

    Hi !

    This is the first email that I received.  I am sorry about the issue and will send claims to UHC now with eobs from Medicare.  He never asked to speak with a manager or I would have had it addressed long ago !

    We sent claims certified to UHC last week - it will take 30-45 days for them to process the claims. 

    I will look at his account often and keep you posted.

    Better Business Bureau:

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I will however keep my options open in the future if I have any problems concerning this matter and open a new complaint. The ball is now in UHC’s court to let me know if they got the correct info to settle claim. I appreciate you looking out for this matter on your end from now going forward.
