      On Thursday (5/8), my car was towed from my apartment complex by Taurus Towing. I originally called the police department who advised the car was towed by the city of Charleston, and Jenning’s Tow Company. When I arrived at Jenning’s I was informed they did not have my vehicle, after much assistance from Jennings and the dispatcher, they provided me with the name Taurus Towing and a phone number of 843-277-0441. When attempting to Google the address nothing comes up online and a reversed phone number search comes back to In and Out Towing which is permanently closed as of May 2025. I FINALLY was able to make contact with Taurus towing through phone after NUMEROUS UNANSWERED phone calls and they confirmed they had my car at their lot of 134 Old Summerville Rd. When I went to retrieve my vehicle and made them aware NOTHING comes up online for their business and the misinformation they rent weed in the computer advising they were towing on behalf of the city of Charleston, he advised me they are “working on the website and it will be finished soon.” I was told to pay cash or cash app which I did in the amount of $211. I request my money back as this was essentially an illegal tow since they are operating without a business license.
