My Inspector found a strong smell of gas today, and suggested I call *************** (DE). In total, *************** located three leaks today; two natural gas and one propane. DE DE found a leak of *** from the natural gas, at 70 PPM, which exceeds the residential building's safety standard. He also found high percentages of natural gas coming from the top front right burner. As a result, *************** disconnected the valve and detected natural leaks in the yellow plastic fuel line, as well. This is the line that connects the stove directly to the natural gas source from the exterior of the house. This yellow fuel line was recently installed after the water line was punctured five weeks ago resulting in the complete flooding of my home, requiring displacement for over a week, for me and my houseguests. I was able to secure an Airbnb, agreed to be reimbursed for by Chris Manning. In addition to the dangerous items outlined above, I returned to my home following the flooding, only to find that the water damage from the kitchen leaked through the wall behind the refrigerator and damaged my baseboards in my Master bedroom and Master linen closet. I put the claim in Builder's Trend Warranty for its repair on June 23rd, and have yet to hear anything back from the team on this repair. Day three and stove continues to sit in the middle of my kitchen

    Business Response

As soon as the request came through in ************ after hours on Monday, July 17.  The *** construction superintendent reached out to the company who supplied the stove and left the homeowner a voicemail. The superintendent also sent an email on Tuesday to the homeowner as a follow-up. The supplier of the stove called and left four voicemails between 9 AM-10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 18. Superintendent also called twice on Tuesday. Wednesday, the homeowner responded via email at 10:30 PM asking *** to schedule an appointment with the stove supplier and to make sure it fit in her schedule. The stove supplier continues to try and actively schedule an installation of the new stove but homeowner has yet to supply a time or date. The stove supplier attempted to deliver and install on Thursday, July 20th but homeowner wasn't open. We hope to correct the issue as soon as a time is set that works for the homeowner.
