Dealer sold me a 2018 Subaru Outback with major problems and refused to honor conditions of warranty. Four trips to service and they gave me a crazy explanation about my rotors heating up that caused rotors that were not 30 days old to warp and would not replace them. I showed them a full diagnostic from McDaniels Subaru with over $7500 in needed repairs. The Service Manager said none of that was needed. They never checked the warranty for covered repairs. The Service Manager said today was his 1st day on the job and he was not familiar with anything.Business Response

I took my truck for a check engine light and for cam service… took about 1 week and a half they told me I needed a new engine….I called they kept saying my truck isn’t back together yet so I went up there myself walked where my truck was in shop and truck was together for me thinking they didn’t really check my truck like state that was on a Wednesday I called back thursday because they told me the lady over my truck was out and I was told the same that truck wasn’t back together called Friday she said it was back together but charging me $981 for not fixing the problem telling me that I need a new engine…..so I refused to pay and was trying to get my insurance to cover warranty 3 weeks later got my warranty straight with my computer and was calling to see if they check with my warranty but she kept saying the wait was to long on hold but every time I called my warranty company answer the phone for me they are trying to charge me 14000 for Lamar and new engine instead of just flushing engine replacing cams and rockers I work on cars I know that’s easy then swapping a whole engine out it’s been 2 months and still nothing I called her Saturday oct 7 she said she would call my warranty people on Monday never called with there today she is the office doing nothing as usual when I go there saying she didn’t come to work on Monday and she would call today which I bet she still hasn’t done my truck has been there too long I want my truck back or fix asap it’s been there too long and it’s really driving me crazy there service there sucks and the whole city is complaining they tell everyone the same thing that they need they engine replace all they do is replace engine and don’t fix anythingBusiness Response

Mr. ******** came into the dealership on 7/26/2023 with his 2015 Ram 1500 SLT with 150029 miles stating that his ABS Traction control and check engine light was on. After diagnosis several camshaft code for the passenger side, torque request denied code caused the Traction Control light to come on which was caused by the camshaft codes. We could hear lifter tap from both cylinder heads. We requested approval for tear down which was granted. During the tear down inspection on both valve covers we found metal shavings inside of the valve cover and noticed discoloration on camshaft bearing caps. Removing the bearing caps the 3 intake and exhaust bearing caps found sever bearing wear due to the lack of oil pressure. We advised replacing the engine due to mileage and lack of oil pressure. Mr ****** denied the repairs and stated that his State Farm insurance company was going to pay the $891.10 break down cost. We called State Farm they said that are not going to pay. We contacted Mr. ****** again and at that time he said that Line 5 Warranty was going to pay we contacted them and he did not have an account with them. We contacted Mr. ****** a 3rd time and he said Drive Smart was his warranty company. When we contacted them they said his policy was purchased on August 28, 2023 which is a full 30 days after he initially bought his vehicle in to us.

I am rejecting this response because: Well like I stated when I took the truck there i already knew what the problem was I knew it needed the cam rockers replace and the oil pump that’s why I took there for them to fix. I only signed papers for diagnostic thinking they would fix the problem until she called me back and told me I needed a new engine which was 14,000 for a engine when I just paid 14200 for the truck I said why y’all don’t just change the parts I requested and that’s when she said they don’t change out cams or stuff all they do is change the engine out…. My truck was there for a few days so I called to check what was going on that was like a Wednesday she said the truck was still apart and he hasn’t put back together yet so something told me to go check so I did and truck was together I called Thursday and was told the same thing I told her I was just up there and the truck was back together that had me confuse cuz she put me on hold and came back and said he was finish that’s all I’m trying to figure out I even ask for pics of what he stated was damage and she said they don’t take pics I was just trying to make sure they did do something instead of me paying for something for nothing. When I talked to Fay to try to resolve issues I explained that I was told that they don’t replace camshaft and Ms fay said that they did was just wondering why I was told I have to get an engine instead of just replacing the parts on the truck that’s all I wanted I work on cars too so I know parts like that can be replace and a engine can be flush out if any shavings 900 is a lot of money to throw away without the problem being fixed I understand the part about the warranty that’s on me but I was just go throw 900 away when they could of just replace the parts that I knew was the problem and not the whole engine for 14000 that’s why I denied them the repairs on that part. I’m just trying to get my truck back but I can’t pay that much for nothing I just want to know what do I have to do for us to just get this over with please ima be stuck with a truck either way that I can’t use and I’m already just throwing money away on this truck I just wanna get this resolved it’s already been 3 months and I have barely even use the truck

I went into this dealership service department 4/21/23 for my 2022 ram transmission went out on me while traveling for work and this was the closest dodge service near me at the time, I went in at 10:38am the service advisor was a nice female that helped me anyway she can but the service is poor! They got to my truck to diagnose it with in a hour after test drive the tech said he needs to pull my transmission pan down take a look inside, came back in about 2hrs later said transmission needs to be replaced and they would have to get approval from warranty company to get it done even though I have 47000 miles on it way under the manufacturer warranty for 60k miles plus we have extended coverage we pay extra for! I was there till 6pm waiting for mark the service manager to resolve me a loaner vehicle till mine is fix as a dealership should with a partial brand new commercial work vehicle and that’s a customer only transportation! I walked around sat around waiting for him and the dealership manager it self figured out how to get me transportation everyone ignored me till it was close time they was about to leave me stranded there! Mr mark finally put me a a vehicle off lot I had to bring back Monday morning at 8am and he will get me a rental from enterprise which they should have an account with for there customers as others dealership of Dodgeland I went to in past but they drop me off at 8:30am at enterprise thinking everything is resolved for me to get a rental I was at the rental place for 3hrs looking crazy because the manager said they are not approved yet to have customers come get rental billed to them and they know that from them being told in the past!!! Moral of my situation I had bad service here I had them to put my truck back together and I drove my truck to another dodge dealer 1hr30min away with a messed up transmission! Came in the on the 21st of April with some transmissions issues on his 2022 Ram truck. He was met by our service advisor and she told him we would get him in as soon as possible to do a diagnostic on his vehicle as we were booked with appts we were still able to within an hour. The technician stated that it may be a transmission issue but he would need to pull the transmission pan down to be sure. After doing which takes a couple of hours it was determined that he needed a new transmission. The vehicle was still under the factory warranty but in order to have the work authorized we must contact the manufacturer which was conveyed to Mr, *******. Due to the fact that all of our loaner vehicles were out with previous customers one was not available to Mr. ******* which he was not happy with. Mark, the service manager tried to see if we could get another customer to come in sooner since their work was already finished and we could get Mr. ******* into that vehicle. It took awhile for the customer to reach back out to us but they could not come in until the following morning. We have an agreement with Enterprise to provide vehicles to our customers in situations like this. Part of that process is that they have to pay the deposit which is refundable upon returning the vehicle. After speaking with the agent at Enterprise Mr. ******* did not have those funds available. Upon his return form Enterprise we put Mr. ******* in one of our pre-owned vehicles over night. When Mr. ******* came back the following morning he decided to go elsewhere to try to have his vehicle repaired. After all of that we didn't charge him a dime.

In 0ctober 2022 I go into Tony T's Orangeburg and trade in my older vehicle for a new one. I get the vehicle home and a few days later it seemed like it was acting funny . About a week later after having the vehicle I call them to tell them that they gave me a vehicle with lack of power and was hard shifting and using alot of oil. They tell me to bring it in to be able to look at it and they had my car for a few weeks saying that they fixed the crankshaft. So I pick it back up and noticed about a week later that it was using up so much oil and had to continuously add oil in my car I finally called them to let them know that it was still shifting off and making a raddling noise on top of all the oil that I had purchased to keep adding to the vehicle. They tell me to bring it in again I take it in they look at it and said that they were going to replace my oil filter housing and drain plug so they said that will fix it. I get it home and drive It for about a week and again and I'm still noticing an oil leak raddling noise so again I bring it into them asking them to fix this original problem and they try changing me for a diagnosis fee and telling me that they cant find a issue with the vehicle . So I take the car home and now I have the same code as the first one for crankshaft. I'm so tired of getting the run around for this vehicle that I just purchased 5 months ago. I shouldn't have any issues with this vehicle. Something needs to be resolved.Business Response

March 4th 2023 purchased car called day of getting car about mechanical issue was told I was getting a great car that was a lie nobody would tell me how long car was on lot before purchase called every week about problems they claimed they fixed still having same problems with car GM or NOBODY would reach out to me I’ve left my number multiple times for somebody to reach back out I feel like they sold me a bad car and know they did so they wasn’t trying to help solve the problem they had my daughter to call and pretend she was me to close the deal with the bank knowing the car was having issues it’s like they’re all about money I’ve been calling to get the down payment back or a trade out which they want another payment down I’m trying not to lose my down payment at all on the car because it’s been giving me problems they claim they’re for the customers that’s a lie the vehicle I asked about that was lower than the original since I was giving problems with this car the salesperson I asked about the vehicle purchased it for himself after I was interested in the vehicle which I think is bogus I didn’t sign the as is warranty paper I believe that paper my daughter signed which means I never agreed to as is warranty can hear water running through dashboard and rattling noises under car that’s an important part of car to keep it from catching fire I don’t believe this car is safe to drive for anyoneBusiness Response

Ms. ********* did indeed purchase a 2021 Chevy Malibu from our dealership. She was extremely happy when she left. A couple of weeks later she contacted us to say that she no longer wanted the vehicle. At that time we told her that was not an option. She contacted Kim ******* to say that it was making a noise and Ms ******* told her to come in and we would take a look at her vehicle. We had Mark H********* our service manager ride with her after riding with Ms. ********* it was determined that it was a loose license plate frame. We corrected the problem immediately and Mark and Ms ********* went back on another test to make sure that she was satisfied. Ms ********* stated that she no longer heard the noise and left satisfied again. A few days later she contacted the dealership to speak with Kim again to say that no one from the dealership has address her needs, which isn't a factual statement. She also wrote reviews stating the same thing. So we reached out to her she came back into the dealership again stating the car was making a noise. Mark again went our on another drive with her on the interstate so that he could hear the noise. While on the test drive neither of them could hear the noise. Just last week she contacted Kim ******* again and stated that no one had helped her and Kim stated that Mark has been out with you on two separate occasions. Kim let me know about it and I invited her out to see if we could trade her out of her vehicle and she was not able to obtain financing. My belief is that she just no longer wants the vehicle and is trying anything to get out of the car.

I am rejecting this response because: it’s a lie that it was the license plate frame making noise it was on the bottom of car from heating shield is what I was told. I even asked for a carfax didn’t get one for vehicle. NOBODY besides Kim reached out the owner Tony emailed me saying he would call me he NEVER called me. I emailed him my contact number no call at all I’ve called plenty times trying to talk to the owner the manager name Joel and the GM Bill. Why would I keep a car that’s giving problems? I even reach back out to the bank in regards to the salesman telling my daughter to call the bank and pretend to be me to close the deal I would’ve never called to close deal knowing the car was having mechanical issues.

On 9/22/2022 my 2017 Dodge Durango Citadel AWD transmission went out on me on the way to work. I have paid 3 payments now totaling $2,692.61. I was told that the vehicle had no issues when I purchased it and less than 5 months of having the vehicle the transmission gave out without any warning signs. The check engine light did not come on until I made it to work. The night before it drove with no issue at all and less than 12 hours later no transmission. I have been trying to find some resolution with the dealership since 9/22/22. The warranty department (MBPI) has been trying to contact the service department for a week now (finally got an answer today due to me continuously calling) and I have been the individual making the phone calls between the two companies to find out what is going on with the vehicle. I was not given a loaner, I asked for the GM to call me left messages for a callback no callback, I have sent over $1200.00 to get another vehicle on the road to get back and forth to work, my children to school, daughter to work, appointments, football games and practice. I had to cancel my daughter's appointment for physical therapy (due to knee surgery) I have spent $160.00 for tow fees. I purchased (May 25, 2022) the vehicle to have a safe vehicle to transport my family and myself, but I am left stranded and have to pay $892.61 for payments each month on a vehicle that transmission gave out on me in less than 5 months of driving it. I have contacted the finance company (Chrysler Capital) to see what options I have I was told to contact the dealer. I do not have much confidence in the dealership anymore to have this issue resolved on a timely manner. It has been ongoing for 3 weeks now and the attempts to contact me back has been very slim.Business Response

On July 27, 2022 we bought a Toyota Tacoma and paid cash. The truck was delivered on July 28, 2022. As we live in Atlanta, and the truck was purchased in South Carolina, I wanted to pay for the GA Title and Registration Fees myself. Instead they said no, they would manage this and charged me $2395.85. When the paperwork was mailed to Georgia DMV, it was not processed as it needed an emissions inspection. It is now 10/10/2022 and the truck is still not registered and they will not refund the money. The breakdown of the GA Title & REgristration Fees is as follows: $18 title fee, $20 registration fee, $3 mail fee, Additional processing fee $195, Tax, Title & Reg fee $2200.85. However, when i spoke to the dealer, they said the refund is approx $1700. Why the difference? I still don't have the paperwork to register the truck, the title or the refund. This company had my vehicle sitting for over a month due to a recall that Chrysler does not have a fix for at this time. The dealer declined to service my vehicle until there was a fix for recall which they had no timeline when it would be available. This is my commercial vehicle. After weeks of my truck just sitting they called me and said the truck was not recall related and it is fixed. I have been lied to several times by this business and have lost thousands of dollars due to there Improper practices. Other vehicles that came in after my vehicle were looked at and serviced before mine and I had a scheduled appointment and my truck was there two weeks before my scheduled appointment. The GM ****** made false promises in helping me get this issue resolved. They even tried to find me a new truck because is the recall and my issue was not even recall related. My truck sat for close to 45 days before they even diagnosed it and once they did it was fixed in less than 48hours. I have made several requests to reach the owner but have not been granted the information as requested.Business Response

Mr. *****'s issue is with a manufacturer recall.
The manufacturer has complete control over what the guidelines are to approve repairs that will be covered by the recall.
Mr. ***** and our service team have been pushing to get the manufacture to get this issue resolved.
On 08.08.2022- we received word that they will cover the cost of repair.
On 08.10.2022 - we received the parts needed to repair Mr. *****'s truck.
We will notify him when the vehicle is ready for pick up.
