    This cement company **** Construction was hired by my builder Southern Piedmont Construction to complete a colored driveway and a colored Stamped rear patio. This work was completed but in a substandard way. The driveway has multiple cracks in it, after several days, and has no apparent color, which was an upcharge of several thousand dollars. The rear patio has several different colors, none matching, and the texture is very inconsistent, and looks horrible. The entire job looks like it was the first time they ever did this. ***** the owner has been contacted by me the homeowner, and said he isnt fixing it. He has a complaint that the builder Southern Piedmont hasn't paid him yet, and the builder is waiting for him to fix the issues before he pays the balance. I the homeowner have paid the builder ***** ****** the entire amount already. I can provide photos of the areas to shown the sub standard work. The **** connstruction has threatened they are putting a lien on my home because the builder hasnt paid them yet.

    Concrete Cracking and Coloring Mr. ******* has raised concerns about the concrete cracking and the added color not turning out as expected. It is important to note that while concrete can crack, this is a common occurrence beyond our control. We strive to deliver quality work and have agreed to assist in correcting the coloring issue, with the understanding that additional coloring materials will need to be purchased.

     

    Payment Discrepancy Southern Piedmont Construction, the contractor working for Mr. ******** has withheld payment to **** Construction despite being paid by Mr. ******** This non-payment has led us to place a lien on the job through the York County Clerk of Court. As of now, the amount owed to **** Construction, including accrued interest, stands at $20,514.00. We had to cover the payment to the concrete supplier to maintain our companys reputation.

     

    Company Reputation and Communication Issues **** Construction has been in business for many years and has built a solid reputation for delivering quality work. Unfortunately, the experience with Mr. ***** ****** of Southern Piedmont Construction has been challenging due to poor communication and delayed payments from the beginning of this project.

    We are committed to resolving this matter and would appreciate any assistance the Better Business Bureau can provide. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
