I hired L&C Legacy to pour concrete foundation in preparation for building a metal garage. ****** came to the site in early September 2023 to complete measurements for providing a quote. I was quoted, $6400.00 and paid the initial deposit of$******* via Zelle on September 5th, 2023. A fifty percent deposit was required to begin the work and the remaining balance due at completion. ****** started the work on the same day the deposit was received. On September 6th, ****** indicated another payment of $420.00 was needed for additional materials. And again, on September 11th, he requested yet another payment of $420.00 for the same material. On September 18th, he asked for another payment of $880.00 for additional concrete, this is in addition to the $840.00 that was already paid. The final payment should have been ******* based upon the initial quote. However, ****** refunded $180.00 to compensate for some of the additional materials that were needed. Therefore, a final of $3020.00 was paid via Zelle on September 14th, 2023.****** was given the foundation specifications from ******************** prior to starting the work. During the process of the work being completed, I repeatedly indicated the importance of the concrete foundation being level. If the foundation is not level, then I would not be able to proceed with the building installation. After the work was complete, I was reluctant to provide the final payment and communicated that the foundation did not appear to be level. ****** was adamant that it was level, and the foundation needed a specific fall to keep water out. ****** did not use any type of level after the work was complete to confirm accuracy. ****** was hired to complete a job that he did not appropriately complete. As a result, I have had to hire a new contractor to break up and remove the concrete and pour a new foundation. His offer of $1500 is unacceptable and I am seeking to be refunded the monies paid.
