Mr ************************* installed a unit in my home and failed to install a drain pan or off switch. In June I noticed water coming from my floor boards in my hallway and called the person that had installed the new floors and explained the water. He told me to open the door to my unit and water was shooting out like crazy. The water had ran down inside the unit underneath my hardwood floors and I could not see it. He asked if I had a drain pan and I didn't know. He told me to call the installer. ***************** came out, looked, and then told me to put vinegar and water in this tube every 3 to 4 weeks. I asked if there was a drain pan and he said no. That night I searched information on units and learned that all units should have a drain pan or off switch, and I had neither. I texted ***************** the information I had found. Within less than 3 weeks, the same thing happened. I just happened to open the door and to my surprise!I called him again and he came out. I asked him why did he not put on a drain pan, he yelled, because I didn't put a drain pan on it's my fault. And I said YES! He wanted to do everything but put in the pan or switch, expensive things. We went back and forth until I stopped communicating with him because I felt like he just wanted me to get a new unit.I was given a person to call and he came out the same night and fixed my unit by putting on a switch and blowing out the tube. Because of ***************** negligence of not putting on the switch or pan, my hallway, bedroom and kitchen floor were ruined. I now have different flooring in those 3 rooms because my new flooring was a discontinued item. He owes me $3,582.00 and should be more. ***************** had several chances to fix the problem, and no one knows exactly how long the water had been running nor how long it had been resting under my floor boards. I have given ***************** a chance to reimburse me but he hasn't responded. Please let me know if anything else is needed. Thanks in advance
