On july 16tg I reached out to Buckhead roofing, in order to fix my house with the estimate that my insurance gave. After weeks of messaging back-and-forth, we agreed on $4600 to be given to start the project. On July ********************************************* the mailbox, no cars were at the office, nobody was there, just a sign that said Buckhead roofing. So after dropping off that check, I heard nothing back from them for weeks, so I began calling and asking about the project and where were at. Now this went on for weeks, and each time I call Id always be transferred to a new person this past week beginning of November I started asking for a refund, thats because Ive been waiting weeks now for somebody to come out and nobody has even though they said they would so that they can start the project. After looking at all their reviews, their online pictures, and their website I now see that this is a scam company trying to make money off insurance claims and house projects. Its been almost a week and a half now and Im asking for a refund, but Im always transferred to somebody new that has no answers for me and no way of returning my check. So now I am $4600 short, Im doing this so then nobody else get scammed and cant get their money back.

Wed like to clarify what occurred in this case. The customer entered into a contract with us on July 16 to complete both roofing and siding work, with the understanding that our roofing services were required to fulfill the agreement. Shortly after signing, the customer requested we only perform the siding work, and we explained that our contract required us to complete the roof as well.

Following the customers instructions, we engaged extensively with their insurance company to secure additional funds for the full project scope. Over approximately 2.5 months, from August 1 to October 18, our supplementor worked diligently with the insurance adjuster, submitting documentation and requests to increase the claim and release the funds needed. Once the funds were secured, however, the customer informed us they would not fulfill their contract, choosing instead to hire a relative who could do the work at a lower price.

Our COO, ***** *****, reached out to propose a solution: We would complete the roof, while the customer could use their relative for the remaining repairs. Despite our efforts to secure additional resources for the customers benefit, they ultimately chose to break the contract. Essentially, he engaged our services and then waited until our supplementor had increased his claim by over 25% then attempted to back out of the contract that he entered with us. Our company spent time, resources and paid multiple staff members based on the agreement that we had with him. In spite of his unethical actions, we were still trying to get through the insurance companies delays and work within the scope that he requested.

Our company prides itself on helping clients through complex insurance processes to get the best possible outcome. Were committed to transparency and customer advocacy, and were here to answer any questions regarding this project or our services.

Started contact with Buckhead on 7/30/24. When we originally called we said fix anything that needs to be fixed. Sent quote of $850 for roof repair, paid half upfront to be put onto schedule. Kept being put off, wasnt put on to the schedule until multiple calls later. First repair team came and used old flashing material out of a trash pile in our yard. When roof still leaked, we called again, was hard to get into contact, but when we did they came back out, said it would cost more money. We refused since we were within the warranty time of contract. They came out again, still leaked after they left. Upon finding this out, we contacted them again and they said they would come out again. When they came out for the 3rd time, they siliconed everything, which is not a proficient repair. They also used incorrect colored shingles. They ran water down the roof while working to see if it was still leaking. He said it was leak free as he left, we saw more damage and leak points after he left than before. They accused us of damaging the silicone by wetting it even though thats what their employee did, then said it was frustrating. When we asked for a refund they said they would like to come out for a 4th time, we stuck to our request of getting a refund. Was told we would be reached out to by *******. Never were so we called ******* and said he would get it initiated. We called a week and a day later and he said he would get it started. A man named **** called and said they saw nothing wrong with the crews work. We still wanted refund and he said he would get it initiated. On 09/11 we called again and spoke to a woman and she said it would hit our account by end of day 09/11 and if not call next day. We called and they said they were in a meeting. It still has not been started as of 09/12. Have been asking for refund since August 29 and multiple phone calls. Business lacks communication and workmanship.

We appreciate the opportunity to provide clarification on this matter. At Buckhead Roofing, we strive to maintain high standards of communication and workmanship, and we take all feedback seriously.
The customer first contacted us on July 25, 2024, and agreed to a repair quote of $850, paying half upfront. The signed contract clearly outlined the cost and scope of work, which did not include flashing around the skylight. The repair was scheduled, and our team visited the property multiple times to address the reported issues.
After the initial repair, the customer expressed dissatisfaction, leading to additional visits. The customer was informed of potential extra costs for repairs outside the original scope. However, to ensure customer satisfaction, we returned multiple times at no additional cost, even though these repairs extended beyond the original agreement.
During this time, a recent hurricane created scheduling challenges across the region, causing delays. The customer was informed of these circumstances and acknowledged the situation.
Following the customers request for a refund, we thoroughly reviewed the work performed and confirmed that our crews adhered to proper protocols. Nonetheless, we honored the refund request and began the process. We have since made several attempts to contact the customer to confirm receipt of the refund and ensure their satisfaction, but have not received a response.
Buckhead Roofing remains committed to customer satisfaction and transparency. We believe we have acted in good faith and taken all appropriate steps to resolve the customers concerns in accordance with our service policies.
