  This was the worst purchase my husband and I have EVER made in our lives. They advertise inexpensive vacations/lodging, but in reality you only save at most $4-$5, if that! In many instances, their prices were higher than other sites like Expedia and trivago. Dont do it!!!

  Please accept this response on behalf of Diamond Departures. An audit of the member account shows only login activity to explore the website. Diamond Departures is a concierge member service. The membership documents clearly state the way to assure the best price and maximum savings at the time of booking is to speak with an agent. I cannot find any requests submitted or any contact request with the reservation center. The membership clearly states that routing bookings for hotels are discounted by crediting all commissions to the member and for inexpensive hotels, the discount can be as little as $5. The membership value as represented is in the thousands of condominium vacations and member only excursions that are deeply discounted and not available to the general public. The membership documents also represent that members are guaranteed 100% of the time to receive the lowest price available on any reservation or the company will match the price and pay an additional 10% of the price difference directly to the member. We encourage the member to reach out directly to the concierge representative at the number that was provided an the time of the presentation.

  My friend and I purchased the travel savings plan from Diamond Departures. After doing so, we were second guessing ourselves about whether we should have invested in a program such as this. But thinking positively and moving on, planning some travel and filing for the rebates and using the free coupons for dinner--it has been on point with what we were promised. We had a $100 free meal the day after signing. The rebate coupon was mailed last week and today I received an email saying it has been processed and the check would arrive in the next 30 days. We were told to contact ***** ***** as a travel consultant, which I did to plan a family beach trip. She has been more than helpful and delightful. She found some properties and she finalized the booking for us. We will get a 10% rebate after the trip in July. We are new members and all of this has not been completed, but so far everything we were promised is working out. We are planning to do quite a bit of travel in the next few years and I am glad we have connected with a travel consultant like ***** ***** who can facilitate the travel, taking some of the worry off of trying to plan on our own, plus a little savings here and there will make the travels even better!

  We were promised either a cruise or a condo stay for listening to their sales promotion. We were told prior to the meeting several things about the cruise that were blatantly untrue; the misinformation provided influenced our decision to participate in the sales pitch. Just a few examples: (1) We were told we had 18 months to use the cruise; that's true except that the cruises are only available during the off-season (September - December), which limits the cruise window to 12 months (as it was December when we participated in the sales pitch. (1) We were told that specifically that **********, ************** was one of the ports that you could sail from; the cruise voucher says that ********** is excluded. (3) We were told there was a refundable $99 deposit to sign up for the cruise; that's true, along with a $99 per person processing fee. (4) We were told we would have to pay for cruise port taxes and fees; that's true, along with having to pay a "non-commissionable cruise fare", whatever that is. (5) We were told that you had to mail in the voucher and the cruise company would send you the planning package and travel request form would be mailed to you. Then you simply sent in the travel request form to book your travel. That's true, except that you have to give the cruise company two choices of dates for your travel. And the voucher states, "no matter how far in advance you submit your travel dates", they will "not contact you until approximately ****** days or more prior to your travel...."

  Please accept this response on behalf of the ************. Client acquisitions are done by third-party marketing firms who contact customers by mail. Respondents are offered incentives to attend either timeshare or vacation club sales. Those appointments of prospective clients are then sold for a fee. The ************ does not provide any fulfillment of the incentives offered by the marketing firms. Regardless, we will have some contact ****************** and see if we can assist him in securing the incentive he was offered.

  We are avid travelers and love this program. The discounts are amazing. Planning to book an all inclusive resort for ******** the pricing we have seen some far is really good. Kudos to Diamond Departures.

  My wife and I attended a presentation today for this travel club. We were skeptical to say the least but the gifts were nice. The sales folks were very nice and addressed all of our concerns. We are recently retired and plan to travel more in the next few years. We decided to give it a try and we actually booked our first vacation right after the presentation.
