We have repeatedly submitted work orders and communicated directly with the head of maintenance regarding various issues in our apartment. One significant problem we encountered in the past involved a flea infestation, which took three weeks for someone to address, resulting in numerous bug bites on our legs, including those of our newborn son. More recently, we have been dealing with a water leak from the floor above, which is leading to mold growth. We are concerned for our son's safety, and it has been over three weeks since we reported this issue to maintenance. Consequently, we have decided to vacate the apartment at the end of our lease. We were informed that we need to provide a 60-day notice, and while we are willing to pay for the month of April, which is the final month of our lease, they are now insisting that we also pay for May due to this policy. We are reluctant to do so, as we do not wish to remain in the apartment until the ceiling becomes moldy. It appears that they are only prioritizing the repairs now that we have indicated our intention to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Ultimately, we aim to leave after April without incurring charges for May.

At the beginning of December they entered in a charge to my account titles "Policy fee Credit for 15 days." I was not aware of this until around December 13th when I got a notification that I had a balance on my account. When I called them they told me I could submit my Renters Insurance information on the app and they would take the fee out of the account. When I went on the app there was no option to upload my document. On December 16th I went into the office to give them the policy document. I was then told that I still have to pay for the days the fee started, totaling $11.74. I tried to dispute this but she just told me that it is "policy." After a few weeks I began to question whether or not they could do this due to my lease. My lease is also not available on the app/website. I emailed them to provide me my lease on February 4th, with no response I sent a follow up on February 10th, again with no response. Reason I am emailing instead of walking into the office is to make sure there is a paper trail.
