    I contacted Pedro with Silva's Floors & More about providing me with an estimate to repair a section of laminate flooring in my kitchen that had sustained water damage. He came and provided me with an estimate of $1,554.75 for the job and informed me that I would have to pay half up front as a deposit. I paid him $777.38 on 3/7/23. He returned on 3/21/23 and left his helper to do the job. His helper took up the entire section of damaged laminate first, and then proceeded to install the new laminate flooring, but stopped to alert me that the colors did not match. We contacted Pedro about the issue and he eventually came to see it several hours later that day. He said that he would continue to work with his buyer to see if they could find the right color. I contacted him on 4/5/23 to come back to reinstall the laminate flooring that his helper had removed because it was taking too long for him to find the matching color. His helper returned on 4/12/23 to reinstall the old laminate flooring. On 4/12/23, I texted Pedro about refunding the $777.38 I paid as a deposit for him to complete the job. He responded that he'd work on it when he returned that weekend (4/15-4/16). I texted him on 4/17 to follow up and he responded on 4/18 that he'd either bring a check to me or mail it. I asked him to mail it and provided him with my mailing address. On 4/27, I texted him again because I still had not received a check in the mail. He responded that he'd either mail it that day or that he could drop it off. I asked him again to mail it to me. It is now 5/9/23, and I still have not received a check from Pedro nor have I heard anymore from him regarding it.

    The full amount plus extra for the fees were paid to Mrs. R*******. We fixed her floors and gave her extra money back hopefully this will resolve the miscommunication.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  Note:  They did not "fix" the floors, however, because they didn't find the matching color.  They re-installed the original laminate flooring that was removed initially.  However, yes.  This issue has been resolved.  Thank you.
