      April 16,2025, I took my vehicle for service at McElveen in Summerville S.C... The air and heat did not work. The cruise control button was stuck. Kassie said she would call me later that day and tell me what was found. I called her 5 days later because she did not contact. She explained that the work cost would be $3746.00. I spoke with her on Thursday, she said after test driving my vehicle, it was found that the steering pump needed to be replaced, and the new charge was $6500 total. I declined. I asked why that was not found in the beginning. She could not provide a valid answer. She kept referring to this new issue in the past tense, as if it was already installed. Maybe it was assumed I would agree. I spoke with Joe the manager and he said 3 times Kassie will call me back in 10 minutes that day to let me know his decision. This was 11:50am on Thursday. She never called back, so I called her back at 3:50. She told me Joe said if I agreed to pay $4600 instead of $6500 He would pay the difference. I declined because I felt the whole price was extreme. I also repeated that was higher than the BLUE BOOK VALUE. I COULD BUY ANOTHER HUMMER FOR LESS. Joe also promised a discount on getting my vehicle detailed. That was not done either. After all that when I went to pick up my vehicle on April 26, 10 days later. KASSIE says she could not allow me to take my vehicle. I asked why, she said they do not authorize checks over $1000. She said because I said cash. She said to her cash was not the same. I did not know when I would be able to pick up my vehicle, and by now it's the weekend. So, I had my checkbook and a debit card. I also had 3 credit cards that I was not going to use. I had to get a salesman to assist, and I was able to use my debit card. He was the only person there that had any common sense and professionalism. Thank you to the salesman that ended this nightmare. Shame on this dealership for treating a customer so disrespectful and telling numerous lies.

      This business is the worst place to go to for buying cars and getting your car serviced! They are scammers. There rude and scam people out of money and they mess up peoples cars.
