      I paid Southern Green Turfcare $408 for Lawncare for January-December, 2025. This is the second year I would have used them. My lawn is in much worse condition than when I started using them. The person who comes out to spray my lawn has sprayed a chemical on both sides of my home and I cannot get it to come off. The company sent someone named Brett out to look at it and he said they would not pay to clean it up. I told Brett I want to end my service with them and he said they would refund the $408 I paid them. When I did not receive the refund I called and asked for the billing department but the receptionist told me no one was available. After several more phone calls the receptionist called me and said they would be crediting my credit card. A month has gone by and to date I have not received the refund. I have called their office several times and asked for the accounting department and the receptionist always says no one is available and she will have someone call me back. No one has called me back. I don’t believe there is a billing department. I drove over to where the office address is and it’s a residential home on a dirt road that someone lives in. There are children’s toys in the yard and lawn chairs in the yard. It is in a scary part of town so I did not knock on the door. I want the $408 refunded to my credit card and the chemicals sprayed on my home cleaned off. I have also called and texted the owner, Paul, and he has never returned my calls or text. Paul was at my home a year ago when I first signed up with his company and he made the statement he did not want anyone to know he was the owner! Now I know why! I also sent the company an email telling them I wanted a refund within 10 days or I would take further action. It has been 12 days and still no refund!

      Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention through the Better Business Bureau. We value all customer feedback and take every complaint seriously. While we strive to meet expectations in every situation, we believe this matter has been thoroughly reviewed and addressed within the scope of our service policies.
      Our team has made multiple efforts, including several on-site visits, to evaluate and respond to your concerns. Regarding the claim that chemicals may have damaged your property, our technicians conducted a full inspection and found no evidence that the reported residue was caused by our products. Based on our findings and experience, we believe the discoloration stemmed from an unrelated source. While we understand your frustration, we did not find grounds to take responsibility for cleanup of an issue unrelated to our services.
      In regard to the payment and refund:
      You renewed early to receive a bonus treatment designed specifically for your lawn. This offer was contingent on maintaining service for the upcoming year. Upon cancellation of your services, the bonus treatment no longer qualified as complimentary and was appropriately charged. As promised, we refunded the remaining balance on your account before any standard treatments for the new year began. This was clearly explained during your conversation with Brett, and the refund was processed accordingly.
      As for the comment regarding our physical location, our billing department is based out of our main office, which is indeed a large commercial building. It is possible you visited an incorrect address. The property includes a family-friendly area for employees and a working plant nursery, which may have contributed to your confusion.
      We have gone above and beyond to accommodate and communicate with you, including multiple personal visits and follow-ups. While we are always open to feedback, we must also follow our company policies and maintain fairness across all customers.
      We consider this matter closed unless new information arises that would warrant further review.

      I had lawn services with Southerngreen Turf. I contracted them to replace sod rin my yard. They missed a strip when doing the job. I reached out to the company over half a dozen times and kept getting we haven forgotten. I also had paid for the lawn service a year in advance.
      They showed almost a year later to finish the sod job. I watched as they threw down 5 pieces of sod filled with rocks and brick chips. No prep was done to ground first making what they put down higher than the other part of the yard. They were here less than 5 minutes. What they did was not acceptable. I called and canceled my services and was told I would receive $153.00 for the remaining application I had paid for. I only received a check for $102.00. They refuse to return my calls. I feel they owe for the unfinished sod as well as $51.00 of the promised refund.

      I have contacted Southern Green over 20 times over the last 4 months. I have another palm tree that I need a refund for and it is still under the two year warranty Southern Green offered at the time of sale. This same problem occurred over 7 months ago and it took 3 months to get a refund only to find out that Southern Green planted the tree 24 inches too deep which caused it's death (this is verified by a different contractor that replaced the tree for me). I have spoke to Southern green 4 different times during the last 1.5 months and they were supposed to be issuing a check however I cannot get in touch with anyone this last week and they are not responding to my voicemails or text messages.

      Mr ****** is a current customer of ours.  We went to look at the palm tree while we were at his house treating his lawn. The Palm tree was not dead he wasn't happy with the growth versus some other trees so we went ahead and changed the palm tree out for him.

      We have paid (upfront) for the treatment of our lawn and that was a huge mistake. This company 1) does NOT answer their phones EVER, 2) does not return phone calls, 3) does not perform the service they are supposed to, and 4) has the worst customer service I have ever experienced with a company. I cannot get them to complete the service that I paid for, or provide a refund if they cannot/will not complete the ongoing service we contracted for, and paid for.

      They planted a palm tree in our yard that has a guaranteed 2 year warranty on April 21, 2022. It has not grown since it was placed in the ground. Our neighbors had them also plant a palm on the same day too. The neighbors palm tree has flourished and grown. We called them to ask that they come out to check on it and make sure that it is not dead at the beginning of October 2022 after Hurricane Ian. They returned the call and said someone would be out to check it that following day. We never heard from anyone. Since October 2022 we have tried to call several times to get a hold of someone and it went to voicemail. We've left numerous messages and emailed them with no response. We paid them $389 for their services for the palm tree itself and to plant it and were guaranteed a warranty. The tree has not changed, nor grown and is still in the same shape as it has been. We would like for them to replace the tree. This is a disservice to us because they have not provided any help with the matter nor reached out to us regarding it.

      I do not approve of the lack of communication on their part. We did call and give our address several times via voicemail. However, the fact that they came out and finally checked it, is acceptable. They assured us that they will keep track of the palm tree in passing since they are in the neighborhood frequently. We were also told what signs to look for in case the palm does take a turn for the worst.

      I had six palm trees installed by this business. Multiple have died and they agreed to give me a refund over a month ago. They told me the check was mailed two weeks ago and when I spoke to them on 8/15/22 they said "they were going to check on the status" and call me "right back". Its been three days, I have not heard from them nor has a check arrived. I'm convinced they are screening my calls and not answering or responding to my voicemails.
