I got a membership for a carwash monthly fee on February 21. I was told if I wanted to cancel to do so by end of March. I decided to cancel on March 23. The company still charged me for April and are now saying I should have canceled on same day of month I started membership. That's not what they told me when I signed up. I did not use this service after March 23,2025 and I should not have been charged for April I will never use their services again and want everyone to know what they do.Initial Complaint

On October 14, 2024, I went to Tidal Wave, 1005 Roberts Branch Park, Columbia, SC, to get just a plain carwash. I chose the $21.00. I tried to pay the attendant CASH. He said they DID NOT ACCEPT CASH, only credit cards. So I gave him my credit card. I was charged properly for my October payment. This is where my complaint begins: They WITHOUT MY CONSENT, starting billing my credit card in November and December for $34.97 each month until my wife saw it on the statement in December and asked me what it was. Immediately I went to Tidal Wave and told them about my problem. They did zero out my card, but could not credit anything for me. I did get a number 706-938-0991. My wife and I called and talked with Ansley on 12/26/2024. Ansley said she would only credit one of the $34.97 payments. This is FRAUD!! I gave no consent for my credit card to be billed for something I am not using. Why did they do this? I have not been back to this car wash since October 14, 2024 and I will never go back. I purchased a membership from Tidal Wave Auto Spa. When I went to get a carwash, the ode they sent me did not work at the time. The gentleman at the business told me they could offer me a better price of $24.98. I accepted that price and membership. I called Tidal Wave to cancel my membership at $49.97. The lady told me that it takes some time for the membership to become active. I told her I had purchased another membership and didn't need the $49.97 plan. I am still being charged the $49.97 each month. I called again today (12/2/2024) and the employee (Ashley) told me she had a record of me canceling my plan. She then continued to tell me that I signed up for a promotional plan at the location. I never agreed to any sort of expensive membership when I found out there was a plan for $24.98. I feel that I should be reimbursed for the difference that I have paid since September. I tried over and over to explain to Ashley that I didn't agree to the expensive plan. I agreed to the $24.98 membership at the location. Ashley keeps telling me that I didn't sign up for the cheaper plan but they do have a cheaper plan. I do not and did not sign up for the same expensive plan twice. I feel that I should be reimbursed the difference.Initial Complaint

I requested on day of renewal for a refund via email. I called during business hours to ensure my refund was processing and was told I could not get a refund by a very rude supervisor name Angela. I asked to speak with her supervisor and she said there was no one above her available. I was told that the 49.97 would only be charged for one month not consecutively every month. My one month was for March, 2024 and they have charged my bank account for April, May and June. I went to Tidal Wave to get a car wash. There was an attendant that put my credit card into the reader and he told me they were running a promotion whereby I could receive free car washes for the balance of the month. That is all he said. I thanked him and he gave me a card to be used for the free washes. I was subsequently billed for the washes and was charged $84.00 When I co ntacted Tidal Wash for a refund I was told they had sent me text and that I was not entitled to a refund since I did not register as the text instructed. I informed them I do not read or respond to texts I consider spam and that the entire process was, in my opinion, akin to credit card fraud. I was given a $25.00 refund but that does not satisfy me since I never verbally, or in writing authorized the credit card transactions and I was completely unaware of them.Initial Complaint

I used Tidalwave Auto spa in Summerville Sc to get my truck washed, while paying a gentleman who identified himself as the owner asked me what wash did i want, when selected he stated that I received 30 days for free washes and put a sticker in my window. He never stated that I would be joining the club or charged. I received text messages about going to a site and completing the club information but since I had no desire to join the club I did no fill out the information. A month later I notice 44.00 had been taken from my account which I did not authorize. I called the number and the lady informed me that it was the dues for the club which I did not join, I asked her to removed me from the club and refund me my money. She said someone would be contacting me which haven't happened, I also emailed the spa and received no reply, I will never use this car spa again. I paid for a monthly subscription from this company and my subscription was supposed to be renewed on 19 September. I told the company on 18 September that I wanted my subscription cancelled. I then received an email saying that I needed a 7 day notice to cancel. I was never informed about a 7 day cancellation policy until I tried to cancel. I would like a full refund as I cancelled before the subscription was due.
