I WAS LIED TO. I wish I could give a negative star review... Buyers beware. I purchased a 2024 Grand Highlander from Scott Will in Sumter. During the finance process I purchased a Zurich Shield warranty and was told this warranty covered scratches and dings that would likely take place in parking lots. I took my car in for a scratch to be fixed two different times and was informed the warranty did not cover paint. I ask for a refund on the warranty because it did not cover what I was told when I purchased. I was told I could not get a refund. I have sold my car and reached out to Scott Will for a refund on all of the warranties and was told they would not refund the Zurich. I spoke with Carlos (finance) regarding cancelling the warranty and Carlos also stated during our phone call that it covered "scratches and dings". I told Carlos this was a lie and they need to stop telling customers this was covered by this warranty. Carlos then read the details of the warranty and transferred me back to Jamie. I was told I would receive a call from the General Manager, Jimmy Carter. I have not received a call since... I have worked in customer service for 25 years and stressed the importance of not lying to customers and they need to make sure all finance/sales people needs to fully explain what these warranties cover.

      Dear Mrs. W******,
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We are sorry for any inconvenience that you have experienced. After reviewing your file, I do see where you purchased a product does cover paint repair that occurs dues weather and stain related issues. Unfortunately scratches are not part of this contract as stated.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
      Sincerely,
      Jimmy C*****

Always get a second opinion before major repairs.
I had a regular oil change on schedule and they upsold a “cleaning” to us.
Two weeks later I noticed a rough start that was loud and briefly caused my Prius to shake. I dropped my car off to be checked.
My service manager called to say that he “could not replicate the sound” and that I could come pick up my car. I wanted to know what they did and what they checked. I did not want to pay $160 to them to crank up my car and listen for the sound. I can do that for free. He said he would check more and and call me tomorrow.
The next day when I called to check on my car I was told that I needed a new engine. I asked what was wrong and was told there was oil in my throttle body and that if I didn’t get a new engine, I would knock a hole in this one.
The “new” engine was actually used and had 100,000 miles on it and the cost would be $9,500 for the engine and labor. My current engine has 137,000 miles.
The service manager sent me a picture of my throttle body with the oil showing.
The service manager did comp the $160 diagnostic fee and said he could help me out with a rental while my car was in the shop.
I sent the picture to a friend who said it was a picture of an air intake valve, not a throttle body and he recommended a second opinion at a trusted shop. The mechanic actually checked my car and checked the codes on the diagnostic computer and told me my engine was in good shape and that it had been well maintained.
I am glad that I have a second opinion that my car has been well maintained.
I can’t tell if the service department at Scott Will just does not take the time to check and diagnose problems with engines and just turns to the most extreme and expensive way to solve a problem or if they regularly run the scam to sell used engines and make money for the shop.
Both of these are bad business practices.
      Always get a second opinion!

Was sold a used Chevy Cruze with multiple problems that were unnoticeable at time of the sale. When we were inspecting the car on their lot, we noticed some oil leaks or some type of leak under the car. I was assured by their salesman, Rodney, that all leaks and any problems with the car had already been fixed and taken care of those leaks were no longer there, we drove the car but not very far and the little car seem to handle fine.. just two days after the sell, the vehicle started running hot. All types of light started coming out and I reached out and tried to contact Rodney. He would not return my calls. I went up there he was not there, and when I did finally get a hold to him by phone, he transferred me to their used car manager. Jimmy Carter. I was told by Mr. C***** that I bought the car as is and they do not repair used cars when they get them in they only do safety inspections so to start with one of these persons told us a lie or the car was repaired or the car was not repaired, but we were told it was this is the worst dealership I’ve ever had to do business with, you should not kill customers that you’ve done repairs on cars that you’ve never done and reset engine light before you sell them because that is very easy to do and no lights were on this vehicle when we purchased it but two days later all the light started coming on even safety, like this car without us, knowing it had these problems .
Water pump bad thermostat bad also heads or bad service track lights coming on which is a safety concern

On November 18, 2022 I made a deal on a 2023 RAV4 limited and put down $1000 deposit and was told the vehicle would arrive in 18 days. The vehicle arrived in 12 days and I was told to come pick it up. After I got a ride and traveled 1 hour I was told by the salesman his manager overrode the deal after 12 days. The manager was very smug and pretended there was never a deal, he kept asking to see the paperwork that they never provided, but they sure took my $1000 deposit as if there was a deal, one that was now 12 days old.I had plans to purchase 2 Rav4s as I buy 2 new Toyotas every year! I have never been treated like this from any dealer and I have bought close to a hundred vehicles in my lifetime. I should have done my homework on this dealership beforehand but I’ve always dealt off a handshake but it is obvious even with money down this is not one of those dealerships! I asked to speak to Scott Will but was told he was probably at home, I hope he knows how his company is run, but could be he is aware! If he sees this I would love to fill him in! Buyer beware, at this place a deal is not a deal. Would have left zero stars but it wouldn’t let me!
