Mid 2022,Mike R****,owner of m&m carpet was contacted by me to request his help to strategically bring one of his long time workers back to a job that I hired privately for, I asked for worker to return to a job that he was not coming to fix what was done incorrectly&finish what was left undone for months. Mike did intervene & saw how the worker did not want to correct his error so Mike said he was going to stand up for this worker &take charge to bring in someone from his company to correct. I commend Mike for this.I did soon see that all M&M's employees are careless and cut corners needing to redo work. There was a kitchen cabinet left outside by the worker that Mike had stepped in for.The kitchen cabinet was left on my rear deck for about one year. Mike had one of his employees come by to remove the cabinet &take it away to trash. When the employee came to house July 1, 2022, he carelessly dragged the cabinet across my front porch floor leaving deep scratch half of porch floor. I had moved potted plants knowing I wasn't going to be home. When I arrived home. I immediately contacted Mike. From July forward Mike sought to have sanded &when that was done the workers did not wash off porch and left junk on floor&painted over it.The paint was not a match of product I used. There was still an obvious deep scratch that now was identified as a gauge too deep to sand out. This was put off for two weeks in august until I returned to have assessed again.Mike proposal after my stating what reputable contractors were saying that the wood need be replaced ; Mike proposed to replace wood of the side with gauge. I gave him the benefit to do this &only I would accept as I stated to Mike,if the floor was unified in texture with other side of old wood. He agreed&said he will do. It's now November. Mike has procrastinated to follow through,if I don't call him he puts aside. I am proposing BBB have Mmcarpet pay my own carpenter available for supplies &labor to correctly restore promptly.
