They state that they are a rescue, but only have 4 dogs up for adoption and refuse to take a dog that was found and I have paid for all the treatments it needs. It seems they only want puppies and don’t truly care about dogs. They suggested going to all these other forms that will cost me time and money for a dog that isn’t even mine. The email reply was very unprofessional and the fact that they don’t have options to leave reviews anywhere for their business, is a big red flag that they are more of a scam and pick and choose what to care for verses being a legit rescue that wants to see all pups and cats placed in a forever home. Very disappointing.

nice in the very beginning; I gave them as many details as I could in regards to my dog that I needed to rehome. I Even went as far as telling this Rescue personal details about my situation.
I have enough experience with me owning different breeds of dogs over the years and being a professional dog groomer as well to understand these different breeds of dogs with their “different” types of behaviors and “different” types of backgrounds in regards to neglected dogs or families that just simply do not have enough time to take care of their upkeep and well-being.
I let this Rescue know way ahead of time that my dog was used to being around other dogs, and also that my dog had never been crated or caged because there’s never been a need for it.
Not only did this foster parent with this Rescue put my dog by herself for the very first night she was there, but she also put her in a room in the dark in the quiet with no human interaction ?? That is game for destructive behavior regardless, if the dog has attachment issues or not. If this Rescue has been doing this for years and years, you would think they would have enough common sense to know this.
Their whole demeanor and attitude changed towards me overnight. The foster parent even went as far as to bring me my dog back the very next day, cursing n yelling at me as I was carrying my dog inside.
why would she put herself in the position to take a dog that is going to be full of anxiety and too much for her to handle!? Not only that, when I met this foster parent to give her my golden doodle, I was bawling my eyes out and crying, and my son was with me as well, and he was extremely upset and this foster lady gave me a hug and assured me everything would be OK. When she brought me my golden doodle back the next day, she did nothing but rub it in my face About me possibly having to take them to an animal shelter. What kind of professional does that? An extremely bipolar one I guess!
    Bad vibes all way around!!

I was looking to adopt a small breed puppy as a companion animal for my elderly father. With no luck with local rescues, I expanded my search which brought up Day Before The Rainbow out of South Carolina. If I was interested in a rescue puppy, they'd ship it up my way to New England. I found a puppy I liked, filled out the adoption form, and was approved. When it came time to receive the info for pick up date and where, I was given a place and a date but no other information at the time, told instead that 2 days before the pick up I'd be notified with more information. A little weary, I emailed the owner back, Taryn Gibson, pressing a bit that I really wanted to know more about where I was going and who I was meeting for this adoption as well as payment; that two days before was just too little notice. I was also a bit weary of lack of information, as where I was going was almost 2 hours away from my home and I'd be alone doing this. Also, cash money or cashiers check was all they'd take. The answers she gave on the subjects remained vague and when I pressed further, she told me that perhaps I'd be more comfortable adopting from a local breeder instead and cut communication. I'm not sure if this is an actual scam in some way or just really bad business but, either way, it still left an uncomfortable vibe with me, so I thought I'd share it here for anyone who is considering adopting from them. Be careful and press the owner for detailed info before going somewhere unknown with cash money to meet for an adoption. There was no reason for them to not have details or be willing to share them more than 2 days prior, and certainly no reason to cut communication simply because I wanted to know more about how the process was going to work, making sure it was legitimate, and making sure I was going to be in a safe place when doing this if I was going to have cash on me for the adoption.
