    I went to the office of Kirksey Hauling and Sanitation in Mid September 2023 to request to cancel our services with them. Since we had paid for 6 months service and would have 3 months left of unused service paid in advance, I requested a refund. The office manager of the family owned business said she would have to find out about the refund and get back with me. So later after she called me back, i was informed that i would receive a refund of $60.00. .$ 20 per month for October, November and December 2023.

    All that was required of me was to have my last trash pickup September 28,2023 and to leave the empty trash bin out on Saturday September 30,2023 for someone from Kirksey Hauling to retrieve on that day which they did. So i had done all that was requested from me and to wait on the check .

    Since then I have called and been told numerous times that I would receive the refund of $60.00 which was paid in advance in good faith. The services were never rendered and the refund was expected because every conversation was that i would receive the refund.

    In early December I called one last time. I was told that the check would be mailed that same day. It never came. So I finally wrote them a letter and mailed it to them. That letter included a copy of the invoice with a copy of my check was mailed to them. It is now January 4,2024. The 3 months of actual service time has expired and i have no recourse but to contact the Better Business Bureau.

    I regret to have to do this. I certainly am not going to go to legal proceedings for $60.00. Its a shame because they are good people . However, they have not honored the refund, have strung me along and is just poor business to act this way.

    We resolved this with the consumer on Saturday January 6, 2024. The owner personally took a check or cash and placed it in the consumer’s hand.
