On August 19, 2024 in Suffolk, VA, the manufacturer weld on my 2023 Silverline 40' tilt trailer broke apart and dropped the trailer onto the back of my dually damaging it. The legs on the trailer were also damaged. The local police department had to be called out to direct traffic. I had to pay $500 for a tow truck driver to come & move the trailer out of the road, and had to pay a mobile welder $814.00 to come weld it on the spot so it could be movable again. I contacted the dealer I bought it from and she forwarded me to Chris Sterling, (573)624-3203 Ext 6, in the warranty department, and Ryan Case (15500 US Hwy 271 N Talco, TX 75487). I was advised there was not a location close for me to take it to and they would send a driver to take the trailer to Texas. The trailer was picked up on 9/20/24. They kept my trailer for 3 months, which is way longer than it took to repair the legs. I endured loss of wages during this time. They refused to reimburse me for any damage to the trailer that incurred during this incident through the warranty, even though they admitted it was a manufacturing defect. They were very rude and unprofessional. I asked to speak with the CEO and he personally said he would not take my calls, nor answer my emails. They kept giving me the runaround. I was then told I had to come to TX to get the trailer myself. They were supposed to bring it back to where they picked it up from. We finally agreed they would send it to Sanford NC where I had to pay someone to go pick it up on January 14, 25. I have made multiple attempts to speak to someone with authority about this situation but just keep getting sent in circles with no answers. This incident has cost me over $15,000 in losses. I want to know why the warranty claim was denied. I am trying to speak to someone there to rectify this matter before I contact my attorney but have been unsuccessful. Any help is greatly appreciated.
