Their partnership with JBG Smith results in hundreds of tenants being forced to use this sub-par service, with no choice of other providers. One of their policies states "we recognize tenants have a choice in their internet provider", but this is patently false. I had no choice. Aside from the unethical exclusivity, I have no management rights over my own internet connectivity. I am a network engineer by trade, so having every aspect of my network abstracted away from me for the sake of "convenience" has been nightmarish and insulting. I can not configure a VPN for forwarding traffic to my network from outside. I can not port-forward into my network. This business facilitates property managers' exercising excessive control over their tenants' online activity and further diminishes the personal freedom that already seems to wane in the modern age. I wish I could recommend actions to improve this business, but I can not. Its very ethos is abusive and asymmetric. It should not exist. There should be laws in place that prevent a business like this from getting off the ground. Its existence is an affront to the concept they tout so readily: "Connectivity".

My roommates and I have called over 20 times in the past 2 months and we have received no real help. We can't do school work, play music, or watch tv. We've talked to 6 different people and had a tech guy come out who is just the middle guy of the engineer. Our wifi has been down for 2 days and has messed up my entire weekend.
