    I had Mr. McCoy do some work for me in May of 2024. He came on time, finished the work and we paid him and were very satisfied. When I needed another job done, I called Mr. McCoy. When he came we agreed for him to screen in my small front porch. He called on Friday, February 7th and said he would be here Tuesday the 11th to do the job. On Thursday the 13th two men came to do the work. I had not received a call to say he couldn't come until then. One of the two men that came asked my husband what he was supposed to do. I called Mr. McCoy and made him aware of the fact that he had to ask what to do. He said he didn't understand why he asked that.
    On the 14th, they said they were finished and my husband paid him.
    Over the weekend my husband saw that there was a problem with the bottom of the door dragging. He called Mr. McCoy Monday morning and he asked us to send him some pictures. He said he would come either that Tuesday or Wednesday. He didn't come or call at all. On or about February 27, I texted Mr. McCoy the pictures again as well as emailed them with a note letting him know that I had no problem paying him for the work but that it looked very bad and I wanted him to fix it.
    On March 3, my husband called Mr. Mc Coy again and he said he would come over Thursday. On Thursday, I called him to tell him that when he came, we would be in the back yard so he would have to go back there. He said he wouldn't be over until late. He never said he would not be coming.
    The man who did the talking before and took the check came over. Mr. McCoy did not come. The man tried to make some adjustments but ended up saying that part of the job having to do with the door would have to be redone. He said he would tell Mr. McCoy and he would have to give us an estimate of doing that. Tomorrow, March 20th will be two weeks ago. We have heard nothing from Mr. McCoy.

    Mr. McCoy is BBB Accredited. He ignored our texts and emails. I would like the job done right.

    We were forced to postpone the job due to bad weather. The corner posts on the porch are not plumb. We installed our aluminum screen walls exactly the way it should be and needed to be done. The customer isn't happy with the way those posts look so apparently they asked my installer to have me provide them with an estimate for replacing the posts which will involve rebuilding the screen walls as well. My installer told me that the customer will be calling me for a price on that work. I was expecting a call from them but hadn't heard anything from them. I find this complaint surprising. Helping our customers get exactly what they want is and always has been our number one priority. I look forward to rebuilding this enclosure so that it is as perfect as it can possibly be.

    We are rejecting this response because: this job done was very unprofessional.  When the gentlemen came after we called about the job, he made adjustments only to the screen door and said the only thing that could be done was to redo from halfway in the front and entire side where the screen door is has to be replaced. The door was dragging and there is a big gap in part of the door when you close it. Adjustments were not from the halfway point all the way over to point where it squared (went off to the left where the screen door is). 

    Also, the gentleman who came was told to talk to Steven and ask him to call with a quote. About two weeks later, there was no response which is why we contacted BBB, he was continuing ignoring us.

    We maintain that we have fulfilled our contract entirely. The existing porch roof was poorly constructed which made it challenging to install our screen walls in a way that would enhance the appearance of the porch. The J******s were made aware of the situation. I am very disappointed in their dissatisfaction. We can provide them with an estimate to rebuild the walls including modifying the existing roof structure. It was my understanding from the outset of this project that they wanted to keep the cost as low as possible. The work we did is as perfect as anyone could possibly do it given the status of the porch and the parameters agreed upon in our contract. We have never ignored the J******s. I never received a call from them after my installer made the adjustments. We reject any notion that we have performed in a manor that is anything other than professional and efficient.

    I am rejecting this response because: This business is continuing to lie. No one mentioned cost at the beginning or during the project. The project was done purely and looks tacky. It was not a professional job at all. On Monday, March 24, I (Mrs. J******) called Mr. McCoy. I was telling him the same things I wrote in this complaint. He of course, denied everything. I told him that I didn't have $3,000.00  to pay for something that looked so tacky. He said "that's chump change lady". I told him if it was chump change, he could give us our money back. 

    During the call, Mr. McCoy became very angry and started cursing at me. He called me some terrible names. Since I have never used profanity, I will not repeat it. He cursed me out, I hung up on him while he was screaming and cussing me. He has no professional standards in his work or in how to deal with an unsatisfied customer. 

    We have decided that we want no further dealings with Mr. McCoy. He doesn't know how to treat people who don't agree with him. I would under no circumstances want him on my property again or to talk to him in any way. We will add this to the complaint.
