    During the week of February 8 - February 15, 2024 I contacted Aiken Chimney Sweep to have my downstairs fireplace inspected for a gas log installation. The appointment was set for two weeks later but this past Monday, someone called me and said that they could come by the next day (Tuesday) since there was a cancellation. Since I would in and out from home that day, I told the technician to call me before he came. When I got home my wife asked me why I didn't mention that someone would be coming by to clean the upstairs chimney.
    I called them back and spoke with the owner who said that he was the one who made the service call. I first asked him why he didn't call me first like I had requested. He said that he forgot to call and that my wife had authorized him to clean the upstairs chimney since it badly needed it. My wife knew nothing about this whole thing.
    This is like someone sending their wife to my tire store to have the tires inspected and us talking her into having us do a brake job " because they needed it".
    This is bad business and neither me nor anyone else I warn will ever do business with Aiken Chimney Sweep again.
