    I had a crawl space encapsulation finished in August 2018. The work came with a 5 year warranty on the dehumidifier and a 30 year warranty on the encapsulation.

    I contacted them at the end of February this year because the dehumidifier failed. They asked me to order an annual maintenance ($139) to do a full inspection.

    A technician (Chavis) came out approx March 1 and did the inspection and confirmed that the dehumidifier was bad and that the two sump pumps (part of the initial installation) rose up from their holes. He said they weren't installed right and they needed to be reseated. Water also leaks into the crawlspace from the two sump pumps due to the having risen and allowing water to follow the piping into the crawlspace.

    He replaced the dehumidifier with a used one in his truck - which we determined was also bad a few days later as it had no impact on the humidity level.

    The company then contacted me and said Chavis would be out the end of the week of March 20 (no specific day) to fix the problems. He didn't show up so I contacted them the next week. They called back on March 30th and said he was a hit & run victim a few days before & broke his hip & they didn't know how or when they would be able to do my warranty service.

    I contacted them several times in April for updates and they didn't respond.

    So now it is more than two months since I had my annual maintenance service done where the warranty issues were identified and have no clue when the work is going to be done. And the biggest problem is that the humidity level in the crawl space has stayed about 60% most of this time which means mold could possibly be growing again - and mold mitigation is why we installed the system. So it is a big problem.

    I want the two problem to be fixed and if mold is growing in there again because of the long delay, I want them to spray the mold killer fog treatment again at their cost since their delay is what would have caused any mold blooms.

    Hi, complaint #********. I didn't see any way to update my complaint against A Healthy Home so figured I'd email you. Last night (the 17th), Chavis called me and said he would be back at work and here by the 29th to do the warranty work. Hopefully he does show up and we can close this. ******

    Hello Cindy,

    Just wanted to give you an update.

    Chavis came by my house today and did the warranty work. The dehumidifier seems to be running fine but it takes a few days to be sure that it all stabilizes and the sump pumps have been reseated so it looks like everything has been taken care of.
