    I would like to make you aware of a scam that my family and several others fell victim to involving Huset's Speedway. Several months ago they sent out promotional vouchers to radio stations and other media outlets. These vouchers were good for one general admission to the race on the dates listed on the voucher (see attachment). As you can see in the attachment, no exclusions applied other than they had to be used on the dates listed. They say nothing about high level events like World of Outlaw events being excluded. August 30th was the date that I chose to attend an event at Huset's. I did not know this was a make up race for a rained out WoO event earlier in the season. However, that doesn't matter because again the voucher doesn't state any exclusions.

    My family acquired 6 of these vouchers from a radio station at a price of $6 a piece. When we attempted to use them at the August 30th event, we were told they were only good for $15 off of a $50 ticket because this was a WoO event. After driving over two hours to the track, we were faced with the option of paying the $210 ($35 x 6 people) to get through the gate, or turn around and drive two hours back home losing out on the opportunity to use the vouchers we paid for. Considering how far we had driven and how excited we were to see the races that evening, we paid the $210 and entered the venue. However, getting scammed left a sour taste in our mouth as we sat on the bleachers watching the cars go round and round.

    These original vouchers were sent out to radio stations and dispersed by them prior to our racing season. After these had already been distributed we had a change in our schedule. The original race that was scheduled for August 30th was cancelled. We had to reschedule a higher profile race for that date instead. Due to this being a collaborated event with World of Outlaws, the pricing structure changed. In lieu of this, we did still offer to honor the original value of $15 for each voucher. Anyone with these vouchers received $15 off the ticket price for that night. In addition, we did issue notifications to each radio station and other outlets that distributed these vouchers, making them aware of this change and that the vouchers were no longer good for free admission. That notice was also posted at our venue in the weeks leading up to that event date.  I've attached a copy of the notice that was provided.

    I am rejecting this response because Huset's sends out vouchers and they explicitly say dates that they can be used. Their argument is that they changed a race date so a higher level event is on August 30th. They also say that they reached out to the radio station where we acquired the vouchers from to tell them that they were no good for the August 30th event. This is just passing the buck and the radio station is not responsible for updating Huset's customers about Huset's vouchers. Huset's gave the voucher with clear availability dates to use them to the radio station and we bought them from the radio station.

    Unfortunately, we do not receive a complete list of recipients from each radio station, to know who purchased these vouchers. The radio stations keep their own records of whom the vouchers would have been distributed to. We would have had no way of communicating directly with each purchaser of the vouchers. Therefore, we informed the radio stations themselves, so that the information could have been passed along accordingly. We also posted this notice at our facility, so as to try to and notify as many as possible.
