I have been trying to recoup a prepaid propane contract of $619.34 from Palisades Propane, Inc. on August 21 2023 we prepaid $595.61 for the upcoming season. We still had a balance of $23.73 from the previous year. In November of 2023 we moved from the residence to a location that doesn't require propane. I have been attempting to get this money back from Palisades. Annually we sign a contract for the upcoming season, on that contract there is a Buy Out clause . If you request termination for the contract before the expiration date, a reasonable "buy-out" fee will apply. No where is it stated what that fee is. I have been told it is 50%. That is completely unreasonable and this company will not work with us. A recent contract sent to us for the 24-25 winter season states that we DO NOT have any credit on account. I need help to recover this amount.

Customer **** ***** notified Palisades Oil Co. in November that she was moving and wanted a refund for her contract that was still in effect until 05/31/2024. She also had a small A/R credit balance of $23.73. Sara was notified that there would be a 50% penalty if the contract was bought out before 05/31/2024. After speaking with the owner of the company he okayed her to receive the full refund. She was told that a check would be cut on or around 04/15/2024. The check was issued on 04/19/2024. I have attached a copy of the signed 2023-2024 Propane Contract along with a copy of the refund check stub as well as all of the account notes.

One more thing to add: The printing company we go through to print our contracts were provided with all customer information including their credit balances. After the contracts were mailed out to our customer's we realized that NONE of our customer's credit balances were put on the 2024-2025 contracts. That was an error on the printing company.
