    I recently had a very disappointing experience with Soldwisch Construction, Inc. As the owner of 2nd Coat Painting, I was contracted by Steve Soldwisch to perform exterior painting services on a property at 208 S. Clark Ave, Irene, SD. The agreement was clear: a 50% deposit upfront, with the remaining balance due upon completion.

    Despite completing the job on time and to a high standard between June 3, 2024, and June 9, 2024, Steve Soldwisch only paid $1,000 of the agreed $4,000. After numerous attempts to contact him for the remaining $3,000, he has completely ignored all communications. His refusal to pay for the services rendered is not only unprofessional but also indicative of unethical business practices.

    This behavior has caused significant financial strain, as I had to pay my subcontractors out of pocket. I strongly advise others to avoid doing business with Soldwisch Construction, Inc. if you value professionalism, honesty, and timely payment. This company’s lack of integrity and responsibility is unacceptable and has left a lasting negative impression.
