I took my 2011 Camaro to them to repair the engine problem. went to Kalebs' Car Repair Shop in Kimball, South Dakota. Kaleb told me I needed a timing chain. so I bought the timing chain kit from an online car part business called *** **** and had the item shipped to Kalebs' repair shop. He did not keep in contact with me. I had to call his shop to get an update on my vehicle. The lady answering the phone was very rude to me. And the only communication I received from Kaleb was through text. He said I needed to pay 1,900 dollars to repair the timing chain. I agreed to pay him. However, it took a while for him to get my car repaired. I'm very disappointed in the work he has done on my car. He did not fix my car in a timely fashion, he told me he was going out of town and could not start on my vehicle. So I had no choice but to wait for him to return to begin the repair. He did not follow the instructions I gave him. I asked him to leave the old timing chain in my vehicle so I can have proof he fixed the car part. He did not honor my request and leave it in my car, so I don't know if he put the new car part in. he told me I needed some more things done to my vehicle I told him I could not afford the rest of the repairs and that I was just going to just take my vehicle. after he fixed it. i asked for the car bill, but it was not specific. The total amount that I paid was for the car repair bill. He did not have what he repaired listed on the bill. And the bill amount I paid is not equal to the amount I paid on Venmo. after I took my car I was not satisfied with his work. because the car ran horribly. i took my vehicle to a known auto mechanic in my hometown he inspected my vehicle he then informed me there was no brake fluid and transmission fluid, and the back of the engine was not bolted down and had missing bolts and the sensors. was not properly bolted down. which was the reason why my vehicle ran horrible. this is my request seeking help from the BBB

Customer had vehicle towed here from *** ******** out of Fort Thompson, SD. Pat had torn vehicle apart and had issues with ****** paying and also could not figure out problem with vehicle. Once vehicle was brought to our property in Sept 2023, we put vehicle back together so we could diagnose problem. Told customer timing chain needed replace, gave quote. Customer did not want to pay that amount so bought her own parts for us to install. Took from Sept-April 30th 2024 to pay bill. We were not going to start on vehicle until bill was paid in full due to previous mechanics issue with payment. Install timing chain, vehicle ran good when it left here. Customer never stated anything about brakes or transmission as we were paid to do the timing job, nothing more because customer could not afford it. Brakes, transmission or missing bolts had nothing to do with our  business, cannot speak for the previous mechanic who tore it apart. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions. Thank you!

We also paid her bill from *** ******* and the tow so he could bring it here.

The Bank had contacted us for repossession at one point, informed customer of this and she must have taken care of it.

Also seems very suspicious to me that she is making a complaint about us a whole year after she has had the vehicle back.
