    Bought a 2018 **** ***** in August of 2023 for $****** and it came with a dealership Powertrain warranty for the first 6 months and 6,000 miles. In early February, the cars transmission had major problems and needed multiple parts replaced while it was still under warranty. I had the car towed to the dealership and they confirmed it was a transmission issue, but claimed the parts were not covered under warranty. They want to charge $***** dollars for it and say it will take 4 to 6 months to fix because of ordering backlog in parts. I would like for the dealership to buy back the vehicle at $****** dollars since they cannot provide appropriate service that was given in my warranty.

    To whom it may concern,

    Here is the info that I have been given:

    The bought a car. We provide a 6 month 6,000 miles limited powertrain warranty. I've attached the contract. The customer did not purchase any coverage. 

    The car was brought to our shop. It has no reverse and it slips in drive. The diagnosis is that it needs a TCM and Clutches. Neither item is covered under the contract provided. The TCM is on backorder. We had a few of these recently. They've been taking up to 6 to 9 months to come in. 

    When the information was given to the customer by our service advisor it sounds like we were hung up on. The customer called back in minutes later and asked who he needed to speak with in sales but didn't allow transfer. He called back in Tuesday to ask if he could trade out of the car. The BBB Compliant was the first time myself or my management team were made aware of the situation. 

    I'm sympathetic to his plight, and if given an opportunity for open communication with the customer I'm sure this whole situation could have been avoided. If you read through our reviews we are well know for being a very easy place to get along with. 

    If the customer would like to speak either in person or on the phone I'd be happy to help him. My cell is ************. I don't have any interest in battling this out over the BBB platform, emails or texts. 

    I'm certain we can find a solution that is fair for the customer and also works for us.
