    My dad who is now retired received a 5498 form from this company who he has no dealings with ñ. When he called about it they did not ask him to verify any information and they told him he can just take out the money , they quickly faxed him the forms to fill out and asked for his ID and SSN to be faxed in back with the form . The only thing they verified was his last employer . Red flag arose because he was not verified and they would not send anything by mail. Googled the details about it and looks like others have also received this form and are asking for help. The company name does come up but with a different address . And under BBB name with address doesn’t come up. Really believe this is a scam can you help investigate?

    I have included in the attachment above the address location I searched and it seems to be an abandoned building in a neighborhood which raises more questions

    Atlantic Trust Company takes all consumer comments seriously and therefore we contacted the consumer to clarify their comments.  During this
    conversation it was determined that the consumer actually contacted a customer
    service representative for a client of Mid Atlantic, not Mid Atlantic
    directly.  They filed the complaint to us because our name was referenced
    on the paperwork received.  We helped the consumer contact the proper
    party and assisted them with escalating their concern directly to the client in
    question.  Mid Atlantic is also monitoring the resolution closely. 
    Mid Atlantic also addressed our own internal teams and used the complaint as a
    chance to remind internal employees of proper customer service processes.
