      I asked Overhead Door if they could come to my residence and give me an estimate of what it would cost to fix my garage door. They came out 5-11-23 and told me the garage door would be hard to repair and that I would probably need a new door. The employee was at my residence for about five minutes total. Then I receive in the mail a bill for $117.35. I was never told that the estimate would cost me. There was nothing on the website that said there would be a charge for an estimate. Now Overhead Door is claiming that they will be sending the matter to a collection agency. I was told that if I ordered a new door from them that the money paying for the estimate would come off the price of the new door. I feel this is very misleading, as no one told me there would be any type of charge for this. The estimate includes a "trip charge" of $20.00. They probably had a ten minute drive to my residence! I feel this invoice should be withdrawn by Overhead Door.

        We have now received a letter from a collection agency regarding this bill.  The total amount due is now $122.37.  On the original invoice from Overhead Door there was a trip charge of $20.00.  Could you contact Overhead Door and see if they would accept $20.00 from us to pay for the "trip charge", and drop the rest of the amount?  Or should I contact them directly?  Please respond with any information that you can provide us.  Thanks* ***** ******* *************************
