I purchased a vehicle from the dealership and was convinced to buy a warranty that was supposed to cover multiple issues. Now that I need to file a claim, I have been completely ignored despite my repeated attempts to seek help over the past several months.

Since my claim has not been honored, I requested an immediate cancellation of the warranty and a full refund but still have not response from the dealership.

I am looking to buy a new Chevrolet Silverado truck. This dealership had on order a truck that meets my needs. The dealer website has a link that represents they use Kelley Blue Book to value trade in value. I received a value range for my trade in through their website. Based on this inquiry I received emails from the dealer. The salesman wanted to wait on valuing my trade in until the new vehicle was closer to being onsite. I sent the salesman my vin number and several pictures of my trade in. I contacted the salesman several times via text, although he was ot very good at getting back to me. Finally last week he stated the vehicle was close. He then sent me a trade in value for me vehicle based on a different source, NADA. I asked why the change and he said they don't actually use Kelley Blue Book it is on their website because Chevrolet makes them reference KBB. The NADA amount is considerably less than the KBB amount. I was told that was the best they could do. I also looked at this dealers Toyota website and they also reference KBB for trade in values. I believe this is bait and switch tactics because the represent one source to value trade in value and then actually use a different source.

      To whom it may concern,

Kelly Blue Book is a tool on our website that gives an estimated trade value.  The definition of estimated is (of a value or number) roughly calculated; approximate.  We make no promises on our website that KBB values will be used exclusively when determining trade value.  There are many sources in the market place that are used to estimate trade values and most automotive dealerships reference more than one.

We stand by our first response to this inquiry.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I appreciate that the dealership acknowledges that they have to use deceptive tactics to lure in customers.  I was lured in with the dealers representation that they use KBB to determine trade in value of vehicles.  I even verbally discussed the KBB quote the dealer website made via their website with my salesman and he never mentioned that KBB would not be used and instead they would be using NADA.  At this point in time I will be contacting GM directly to discuss this dealers bait and switch tactics.

      Sincerely,

      ***** ****
